34 week OB APPT

I gained one pound. So now I am at a grand total of 38 lbs. BP is great. Heart beats are great. I had the Group B Strep test done. I guess I will find out the results next week. My cervix is still a finger tip open, but now she said I am having softening of the cervix. So I have to continue bed rest and taking the terbutiline.

I told her how I was having such bad pains on Saturday and Sunday and she said if I have that happen again I am to go to L&D and she is going to put me on an IV with mag. sulfate.

I asked the doctor about the mucus plug/cervical mucas question I posted yesterday and she said what I am describing is my mucus plug coming out slowly. She also said every woman is different and some do not even know they are loosing their plug.

Sounds like you are doing well. Glad the mucus plug wasn't anything to be worried about. Getting close now....

 

Sounds like a good day! I hope the contractions stay away and you don't have to go to the hospital although I am surprised they would give you mag at this point.

Me to and I knew that is what she would do if I would have gone to the hospital. That is why I waitied it out at home. I have read that it makes you really hot and your eyes burn. I have enough aches and pains I do not need to add more. She is going to try to stop labor until I am almost 37 weeks.
She says because she cannot guarentee lung maturity until 38 weeks and she wants the babies to be healthy.

 

You are getting so close to seeing your little ones. Just a little while longer. I am impressed that you have only gained 38 pounds. I have already gained 36 pounds and am only 22 weeks pregnant. I gain a lot with pregnancies though. 75 pounds w/ my first and 100 with my last one.
