On March 10th I had an ultrasound BabyA was head down and BabyB was still transverse. The only concerning thing was - up until this point BabyB (Ellie) always measured 3 oz smaller than BabyA (Jonathan-maybe) At that appointment she measured 13 oz smaller. My doctor said that he's not TOO concerned. Dr. K said that her fluid looks fine and the blood flow to her looks good. But he just wants to keep an eye on her. Jonathan measured 3lbs. 10oz which put him in the 50% and Ellie measured 2 lbs 13 oz which put her in the 3%.
On March 31st I had my next ultrasound Ellie was still a little small but she gained a pound. She was now 3lbs13oz. Jon also gained a pound so he was now 4 lbs 11 oz. He measured 33 weeks exactly (which was right where he should be) and she measured 31 weeks 5 days (about a week and a couple days behind.)
I had an appointment with my doctorr on April 4th. He's not really worried about Ellie's growth. He said it could just be that she's small and a girl. BUT the Perinatologist has decided he wants them out two weeks earlier than planned sooooo they changed the date to

    April 17th!!

I'm a little freaked out. 11 days from today. I can't believe it. I'm a little nervous because that will put them here at 35weeks 6days instead of 37 weeks 5 days. I am praying they don't have to spend much time in the NICU.

A couple questions for anyone who would know - 1. Should I ask for the steriod shot for their lungs (especially Ellie's) or is it too late? 2. If your babies were born just shy of 36 weeks did they spend much time in the NICU?

I have a NST on Monday, a regular dr appointment on Friday and another NST on the next Monday then I have my c-section that Thursday.

GL! i was told the steroid shots were given between 28 wks n 34 wks so yes u do have time; its 2 shots within 24 hours-especially since they know its before 37 wk deliveryp==I was also told by 36/37 wks the NICU stay will be short more for feeders/growers and u should be fine!

Good luck! Hannah was born at 35 weeks(no steroids), and she was in the NICU for 10 days with respiratory distress. It really varies from baby to baby though. :hug99:
