33 week appointment today

So I went for my 33 week appointment today. Everything still looks really good: BP was 100/60, total weight gain now is 17.5lbs. I told the midwife that I thought he was trying to turn over the weekend (at one point there was no question that he was stretched across my belly sideways) but after she felt around, she said he is still breech. So we scheduled an ultrasound for two weeks from today to check his presentation. She said that if he is still breech at that point, we'll have to start talking about trying to manually turn him. I've heard that's really painful, but if it's what I have to do to avoid a c-section, I guess I'll do it. We also discussed induction after my 39 week mark b/c DH has a a few days off in a row that he could come home for but of course it's totally dependent on if I've had any cervical changes. So, I've discussed it with Avery and let him know that he can either come between Feb 13 and 18 or the weekend of the 23rd so his daddy can be there to see him.

 

Sounds like a good apt! I hope Avery decides to come on daddy's time!!! I hope he decides to turn too. My little girl has been breech for the longest time. I can tell her head is up under my left rib cage and I've never felt any kicking above my belly button. But, there is still time for her to flip...but I'm guessing she is pretty comfy!

 

Sounds like a good appointment. I hope your little talk with Avery helps and he come when his daddy is there.

 

have you tried any of the techniques on spinningbabies.com? My little one was head down, but posterior the whole time. I still think it's why my labor was really, really long. So obviously the techniques didn't work for me. LOL! but maybe you'll have more success.
