this is part of a mass email I sent my family and friends… just thought I would update everyone…

    Hello again… this one’s long…

Well as some of you know I was suppose to have my 32 w appointment last Friday (March 21st) but due to Good Friday traffic and my Dr having a c-section scheduled right after my appointment we missed it… But I already had an appointment for my Perientologist set up for Monday March 24th (yes Big Randy’s birthday)… and I have every Friday, a weekly Drs appointment set up from now on… so we just went to the Perientologist for our check up (he’s the high risk OB that just watches the babies… but never delivers them).

The only news to report is there is now almost a pound difference in the twins… Twin A is 4 pounds 10 oz (measuring ahead of the charts) and twin B is 3 pounds 11oz (measuring below the charts)… Now if they were fraternal, this wouldn’t be an issue as it would just be one twin is bigger than the other… but with all signs that these are identical, raised a slight concern from the Peri… he checked for other TTTS signs: low amniotic fluid in twin B sac… no, great amount, equal to twin A. Then he checked the blood flow in the umbilical cord for twin B… he said it was as perfect as could be… equal to twin A.. he said it is common for this to happen in twin pregnancies and all it really means is we need to be seen more often to make sure twin B doesn’t lose weight… so instead of waiting 2 weeks to start our 2x a week NST (non stress tests) he had us do one right after this appointment and wants us to come back when I see my regular OB on Friday for another one… then I continue the biweekly appointments for NST… and he wants to do another growth check on April 8th (I will be 34w 4d)… he and my regular OB are very conservative Drs and the Peri didn’t seem to concerned about such an big size difference as I was at first… and the NST came back great… the babies had no change in hart rate due to the 3 contractions I had while monitored for 30 min)… Noah was delivered early due to a NST coming back off… so I’m a little more nervous then I have been this whole pregnancy… I really would love to keep them in until mid April (36 w) but I also don’t want anything to happen to twin B… so I keep eating the protein to help him grow… and hope he gets his equal part… FYI twin B is the mover and shaker in here… so I know the little bugger is a fighter if things turn quick… I just don’t want to have to go down that road if I don’t have to…

In sad news, our cat Arnold has Cancer… and we thought she was doing ok with it (even our vet said she could go a good year maybe two with it), but she has made a change for the worse… I will take her to the vet on Wednesday… but it doesn’t look good for the old girl… she’s not eating or drinking (unless it is put right under her noise and then it’s only a lick or two) and she no longer sleeps in Noah’s room but hides under our dining room chairs… so keep her in your thoughts… she was Randy and my first baby 13 years ago….

Other than that, nothing new, we are on spring break until April 8th and Noah is excited for his 10th birthday on the 6th…

Just a quick note to say good luck and don't worry - it sounds like your babies are doing great. For what it's worth, my identical girls were born with almost a pound difference in their sizes at 34 weeks. They were completely healthy and didn't need any medical intervention. We found out after the fact that the cord attached close to the edge of the placenta for Baby A, so she wasn't getting as much nutrition as Baby B. Today they're both over 19 pounds and growing like weeds!

Best of luck keeping your babies in there a few weeks longer.

You're doing great! Thank goodness for competent and conservative caregivers...Your doctors sound like they are monitoring you and the babies very closely. You're in good hands!

Take it easy and keep the protein coming!!!!

Thank you…this is just what I needed to hear :hug99: … the only reason I’m not in total freak out is because my peri is one of those Dr who over does it with watching them and such, so the fact he doesn’t even want to look again until the 8th makes me think I shouldn’t worry… and I will take comfort in going 2x a week for NST… so if my gut starts to bug me more… I can just ask to see him… thank you again, I forwarded your reply to my DH and mom…
