Everyone was so helpful with my last post, that I've decided to post again :)

I am 32 weeks, 1 day pregnant with di-di twin boys. I had an ob/gyn appointment 6 days ago. I had another today. I have gained 7 lbs in the last 6 days (they used the same scale both appointments so I know it is right)!!! The prior 31 weeks only saw a weight gain of 21 lbs, so I'm kind of in shock. Twin Mommies, is this kind of weight gain normal?? My dr. was a bit concerned but she was more concerned with the fact that I have been having "menstrual like cramps" and that my cervix (which was long and hard 6 days ago) has definitely softened up. She is looking for a reason to use steroids for the babies' lungs - so she did request that next bout of cramps, I come in to L&D to be monitored and start the steroid process.

The 7 lb gain in 6 days sounds like swelling - are your feel and hands really swollen. I know I gained a ton of weight at the end of my last pregnancy, and lost it all shortly after delivery.

Only just preggo with twins now, but had PTL isues with my ds. I'm so glad she is ordering you to get the steriods. I know they made all the difference when I delivered my son early at 36 weeks (he had no issues and came home with me). Get your feet up and get plenty of water!!!

I agree, the big weight gain definitely sounds like water retention. I have no advice/experience with the shots or short cervix, just wanted to wish you good luck with that and I hope the babies keep tight for a few more weeks. :youcandoit?

How was your blood pressure? Did they check your urine for protein? If not, I'm surprised. I'm also surprised that they didn't send you over to monitor your contactions for a little bit considering the cervical changes that you've had with your contractions.

Keep a close eye on those and any BP symptoms (i.e. Vision changes, feeling "off"). GL to you :)
