So i am currently in my 31st week, and this past week things have gotten MUCH harder. I am currently still working full time, but i only go to the office monday - thursday and i work from home on Fridays. Work has been getting unbearable for me, i can't sit to long, i get random dizzy spells. I have been pushing myself through the days and crashing at night and on the weekends. So my question is the a phase or is it going to get progressivly worse from here? i am trying to figure out if i should continue working. On one hand i will be SO BORED at home but on the other it's a horrible feeling to sit at work and not feel well everyday. If it is just a phase i will push myself through it but if this is how it going to be from now on i think i will have to give my boss notice.
I would like to hear how all you other mothers felt at this stage and if you were able to work under the cicumstances.
looking forward to hearing your responses.

If your feeling like you need to quit at 31 weeks, it's probably not going to get easier as time goes on. I think I would talk to your boss now. For me, everything started to get really hard at around 32 weeks.

this is exactly how I felt and I ended up quitting at 32 weeks. I just couldnt' do it anymore. Yes, it was boring at home but I felt it was so much better for me and the babies. Thankfully I was covered on short term disability so money wasn't an issue.
I would talk to your boss about quitting. I'm afraid it's not goign to get any easier!

I'm with you, mama. I'm pushing through the days and am lucky enough to have an eager-to-spoil husband who lets me crash as soon as he walks in the door and spend most of the weekends in bed with a 2007 sudoku calendar.

I'm trying to make it to March, but my midwife told me she would pull me from work either if necessary or if I honestly felt it was too much of a hardship. I'm training my replacement crew (five women, what does that say about me exactly? :) tomorrow and after that, I won't feel bad if I take an earlier leave.

I had this problem last week. I hit 31 weeks and it all went downhill. I was crying all the time because I was so tired, and so tired of trying to work 40 hours per week. After talking with my husband we decided that I would cut my hours at work. I started working 9-3 today, only 30 hours per week. This lets me sleep in, and I get off early and can have time to recharge before my husband gets home.
I dont know if a schedule like that would be possible for you, but if it is I highly recommend it. I will be 32 weeks tomorrow and I can't tell you what a great mood I was in all weekend just because I knew I don't have to work- or try to work- 40 hours anymore. My advice, and I'm right here next to you at the same week as you are, is that it's not a phase and you should try to rest some more.

   's Momma.

When I was 32 weeks I went on leave from work because, like you said, it just got too hard. :( It was hard to put my shoes on, hard to walk, hard to do anything plus I was becoming more of a burden to my coworkers then help. Not to mention I couldn't stop yawning because I was so tired. I think you should definately listen to the signs your body is telling you and talk to your doctor or boss.
