I keep reading things from various people (even in other places with single pregnancies) who seem to have it so much harder than I do right now.

I'm past 30 weeks, and my only complaints (physically) are minor back pain - not even that bad or that often, unless I spend all day on my feet, getting tired fairly easy (but I sleep mostly just fine at night, minus a few potty wake-ups) and I have what I THINK is just Braxton Hicks CONSTANTLY.

I get the BH like every time I stand up, or have to pee, and sometimes in between. But 99% of the time they don't hurt, it's just minor discomfort because of the weird pressure...

But yeah, I feel weird that I feel mostly healthy and normal. Did anyone else feel like their twin pregnancy was strangely easy compared to what they expected or heard from others?

I felt like mine was super easy as well...all my problems that landed me on the couch (bedrest) were things I couldn't feel (short cervix) and it killed me bc I felt so good. This pregnancy has been great as well...people keep saying you must want that baby out NOW! and I'm like "No, they are much easier to take care of this way";)

Keep up the great work!!! Just don't overdo it!

Good for you! I am glad for you and I hope you will feel this way all the way.

Your post sounds like me last week. :) I was going to the gym, doing everything in my house just like before the twins... They didn't bother me too much. And then all of a sudden on Thursday morning I started feeling this tightening in my uterus - mostly on top - to the point where it's painful. It's been pretty much constant lately and it's hard to breathe. I went to triage at my doctor's suggestion, but they said it was just Braxton Hicks after they monitored me for 2 hours. Ever since then, I became stressed about premature labor and I am afraid of being too active. I keep hoping it's just a phase and I will start feeling OK again... but I think I must accept the reality that the so called "honeymoon" of the pregnancy is over for me and it will start getting more and more uncomfortable from now on. I hope I can keep these babies in there as long as possible and of course, I hope I can avoid bedrest, that perspective scares me for now.

I hope you keep feeling just as good!

That's exactly it! A specialist told me no more than 30 minutes of activity at a time, pretty much... Why? The babies are SORT OF small (like a week behind singleton size as of last ultrasound, he said) and otherwise I feel healthy! I cleaned the garage (which definitely broke dr's orders) but other than being tired afterward, I felt perfectly fine!

I'm glad I'm not on official bed rest - I'd be all flustered! But they said my cervix was nice and long, and I haven't felt any painful contractions so I don't think I've had any real ones, and I totally don't feel like the babies could come any time soon. My next appointment is in a week, and my next ultrasound isn't until a week and 2 days from now... If they were concerned enough to limit my activity, you'd think they'd want to see me more. They JUST upped my appointments to every two weeks from every month.. They've pretty much treated it like a singleton pregnancy, except with a couple extra ultrasounds scheduled toward the end.

My doctor hasn't talked to me about delivering or anything.
I haven't packed a hospital bag at all.
I've only gained about 27lbs and I am 30 weeks.

I dunno. It almost feels like I am missing out on part of the experience or something! :p

It can totally happen to be feeling great during a twin pregnancy! I carried my guys to just shy of 39 weeks and I was taking care of my 16 month old son full time and I was in my sisters wedding party at 37 weeks! I left work at 30 weeks (because I could) and I just got to enjoy my pregnancy. I had some minor rib pain from Gavin, but other than that, I had a really easy pregnancy. I would do it again in a heart beat!

I've felt fine too. Never any morning sickness, cravings, anything whatsoever. I have some soreness now, some aches and stuff- but all things considered- I feel good. I did stop working a week ago so I can just concentrate on growing them. I have been every 2 weeks for appointments since finding out it was twins at 17 weeks, but my doctor also has never brought up anything except at which hospital I want to deliver. I have gained about 30 lbs so far (as of last week at 31 week u/s). I also eget the tightening when doing laundry and stuff but otherwise- nothing.

I'm thankful!!!!! Could be so, so much worse!

My pregnancy was a piece of cake until I got to 32 weeks and it was like hitting a wall and it went downhill
    from there haha!

I felt really good - other than getting tired more easily and a bit more of a sore back/belly until about 36wks. At that point I felt like I did at 40/41wks with my singletons. So the last 3wks were pretty rough but not anything I couldn't handle. Definitely uncomfy, but not majorly so as compared to many others.
