30 week appt

First of all, I am so happy that I made it to 30 weeks and that baby A is still holding on. Yay!!!!! :banana:

I went to see my peri bright and early this morning. I really liked the u/s tech that I had this time. She seemed much more experienced than the ones I have had in the past. They did not do a full growth scan since it has only been two weeks. She did do a lot of measurements of bloodflow in the brains and umbilical cords. Baby A went from transverse to head down. Baby B is still transverse. Both of them had a normal amount of amniotic fluid. My peri was very happy with that. He also said that Baby A's blood flow is no worse than two weeks ago, actually it was slightly better because the blood flow in the brain was better. He wants me to start coming every week now. That is exactly what I wanted anyway. He said if things start getting worse than either I will be sent to Philly to be monitored every day or I will deliver. He will not let me go past 34 weeks. I looked it up on the calendar and 34 weeks is Friday, June 13th! LOL. Luckily I don't believe it is bad luck. 13 is actually a lucky number for me!

I am just so happy that Baby A is holding on so well. I hope she stays the same for the next 4 weeks so that her brother can grow more!

I'm so glad she's doing well! It was the same thing with us. You never know; you might get to 34 wks and he says why don't we see what one more week will do? That happened to us, too Hang in there, you're doing a great job!

 

Thank you ladies. This pregnancy has been such a roller coaster ride. I just can't believe how fast time has gone by. I am really happythat I am one of those people that are able to go with the flow since that is what we are doing now. Week by week. If necessary it will be day by day. Ijust want these little ones to grow as much as possible before coming out!

 

I'm cheering you on! You and I are in the same time frame boat. . . one of my docs says 34 w if we can make it. But the other docs are non-committal. I just want to get to 31 weeks first. I want to see you there too!!! I love good news!

Emily- I didn't notice that we are only 1 day apart. Ok, you make it to 31 first and then I will follow your lead! I really like I wont be ready to have these babies for 4 more weeks! I hope they cooperate with me!

The 13th has been a very lucky day for us! My older girls were each born on the 13th...How ironic if all the girls in our family shared the same lucky number!! Our c-section is currently scheduled for 6/16, so you never know!!! :banana:

 

That would be cool if you went on the 13th. I think most people are supersticious, but I love the number 13!

I just had my ob appt and he is really positive based on the report from the high risk doctor. I gave him a little more information and he said since we made it this far that we should be fine. He also told me that girls do much better than boys in the NICU. Things are really getting more real for me. I can't believe they will be here in less than 1 month!!!!!!!!
