So I took Kaylee for her wellness visit today and Kelby goes tomorrow because they didn't have 2 openings on the same day...anyway she weighs 36.6 lb's and is 40 inches tall. She is growing very well. The reason I had her go to the dr first because she had a rash...well the child has strep throat and hand, foot, and mouth disease. This is the child that had strep and double ear infection before and never complained. So they asked if I wanted an antibotic or a shot. I said lets do the shot. Do you know that she didn't cry one bit and actually smiled afterwards and asked for smarties. The Dr. told all her nurses she is an amazing child and has a pain tolerance out of this world.

So last year on their b-day we all had the flu so this does not shock me this year. DH also has strep throat. I am just crossing my fingers that Kelby and myself do not get it!!

 She puts me to shame! I can't handle a simple cold and she's tolerating all that! :clapping: It sounds like Kaylee is doing very well.

Holy guacamole Angie!! That's rough!! What a brave little soul!!! (She does feel SOME pain, right? Cause that could be bad, couldn't it?) She's growing like a champ! Weird that they couldn't get you in together!! OY!

I know a kid (when he was about 5) who would actually fall asleep when he got stressed out/traumatized. He got a gash in his head requiring stitches and he SLEPT through the whole procedure (shots and all).

Congrats on a new year...hope you all manage to stay healthy to enjoy the celebration.

Yes she feels pain. It is funny a small scratch she gets you would think it is the end of the world and she cries and cries and tells me how much it hurts.

I took Kelby to the Dr yesterday and he was 37.2 lb's and 40 1/2 inches tall. We are doing great!!
