Yes, pregnant with number 3 ! Planned but heck still a surprise. We go for our U/s on Monday and curious how many are in there. I dont' have the m/s like I had with the girls .... so I'm thinking only one. There are still days where I wonder what I was thinking and how in the world will I cope with 3 babies !! I am coping just fine with these two very happy babies and thanks to recommended books and advice on here my girls sleep like a dream for naps and at night.

In my mind I still wonder how I will fit in another baby. I really won't have continued family support just after they are born for a month or so. Will this all be just too much ? Am I going to crack ?

Ok.... answer this.... AM I CRAZY ?

Congratulations! I think you've got to be a little bit crazy - but we love the crazy! Our eldest was 19 months when the boys were born and it is mad at times but you've just gotta smile and enjoy as you know they will all be in school before you know it! So enjoy the craziness!

I found out I was pregnant with my third right after my twins first birthday. So you're not crazy. I figure they'll all be close in age so they'll all play together. So far so good! LOL The baby is 9 months old and the twins are 2 now. You'll get through it. you'll manage, that's what us twin moms are best at! ;)

I totally understand how you're feeling! The only difference is that it wasn't planned here!
We had a 3 month old when I got pregnant with the twins! They were born five days after his first birthday. There are times when it's a little crazy around here, but for the most part it's SO much fun! They all get along so well and I love watching our two year old take care of this little brothers. They will be so close when they're older and that's something that neither DH nor I had.

I won't lie, it's tough. Learning how to juggle four kids has been a bit of struggle for me at times. We don't have a lot of family close by, so that makes it harder. But, I honestly think that we've done a fantastic job of adjusting and you will too! You'll be amazed at how easily you'll fall into a routine. And, if it's just one baby instead of two, it'll be a breeze! :D

    Good luck!

Congratulations! What makes us crazy well it's all worth it. I have 3 under 2 also (for 3 days I had 3 under 1) It's only been 7 weeks but it has actually been wonderful. Luckily my pregnancy was smooth. Little to no m/s and I felt great the whole time. Hopefully you'll have it just as easy. We didn't plan it this way but if I had known we were going to get such a good baby I wouldn't have worried near as much. Good Luck!

Congrats! We had 3 in 16 months ourselves (singleton first though). They are now 4 1/2 and 3 y/o. We call those early years the "blurry years", but now that they are older I would not have done it any other way. They are so close and have a blast together. Good luck.

When the twins were first born I had 4 under 3.. I had my first and second children exactly 13 months apart, and the twins were born 18 months later. It wasnt really that bad. I have always loved the fact that they were close in age, so they could play together and go to school at the same time, and get out of the house around the same time (hopefully) It has its ups and downs.
    You'll be ok!

Congrats. That is awesome news. I had the boys when DD was 26 months. So I was not quite as crazy as some, but nonetheless it was crazy. :)

No you're not crazy. We wanted our kids close together....ours are 20 months apart (but we had a singleton first). I love knowing that they will all grow up together on the same level. It's been rough at times but I wouldn't change anything!!! I think it might even be easier for you because you will get to enjoy having just one baby, and your older two will be able to entertain themselves and have someone to play with while you are taking care of the baby. Congratulations!!!

my DS was 10mths when I found out I was pregnant again and with twins no less. it is hard but i think it was meant to be for us. we do have a nanny for the 1st 6mths b/c my DH is a pilot in the air force and is hardly ever home. he works 14hr days & is gone for weeks at a time. now that the girls are older i could do it by myself no problem but in the beginning it would have been pretty hard. it's not that you can't do it I just think it would have been much more stressful for me to be all by myself day and night. my girls are amazing babies and almost never cry so that does make it a heck of alot easier for me but my 2yr old is a huge handful so he makes up for the easy babies.... you'll do what you have to do and it will all work out in the end... congrats!!!

    You can do it!

My SIL had four under the age of 2.5 (just wrote this on another post), and it's crazy sometimes but she absolutely loves it. She has help with the housekeeping so she can spend more time with the kids. They all play together now, the 11 month old crawling after the 2yo twins and 3yo. The games they play together are hilarious.

I feel like if you have twins, you've already learned tricks to manage time, multitask, and all. My SIL actually said that having the last one has been so much easier than having the twins that it doesn't feel like that much more work at this point. She even feels sort of surprised sometimes after she's done nursing him that she doesn't have another one to nurse, or another diaper to change, etc.

So hurrah for another baby. :clapping:

So many of you have come up with things I have never thought of !! In my mind I'm still trying to figure out how one more baby will fit into the day to day schedule.... am I ready for those first months of sleepless nights ?? I sure have all the equipment, toys and clothes....

I sure hope my parents will be able to visit.

So GREAT to see this post b/c my twins just turned 1 and I found out a few weeks ago that I am pregnant again- WE went thru ivf to get our twins so this was a MAJOR MAJOR surprise. DH walked around the house the ENTIRE day going well this is an interesting turn of events!@

anyway nice to know Im not alone and I dind't know about the pg after twins board I'll go check it out!

HeatherTwins: good luck I'm right there with you we can support each other although you're lucky not having the m/s. With the twins I had m/s just in the morning this time Im sick ALL Day. Oh and we know that it's just one (thank god!)

I have 3 under 2 and I'm not in the looney bin yet, LOL! I totally am not the type of person that I thought could handle it, but I'm living it and doing it everyday. You can do it too!

I take my hats off to those with a toddler THEN twins .... I think the other way around might be easier for me. Those first 2-3 months with newborn twins while watching over a toddler too..... I couldn't imagine. You are in a whole other league from me.
