My babes are 3 month today!! Yikes! Currently, they are taking 4-5 ounces every three to four hours. Is this normal? I am curious on the "average" amount everyone fed/feeds their three month olds?

    Thank you!!

I honestly can't remember. But I'd guess about 30 oz per day at that age. My girls were big drinkers and big refluxers/spituppers.

Babies are pretty smart about how much to eat. And they vary so much. My girls are ID, but Syd consistently drinks more than her sis. They are the same size, Syd just poops alot more!

Anyway, if they are happy, gaining weight and Ped is satisfied, don't stress. Also, it could be a growth spurt.

I looked at my journal and my babies were drinking 4 oz at a time every 3 hours at that age. Both were sleeping through the night, so they had 6 bottles (I would dream feed them at 10pm). I would usually try and keep them at atleast 24oz per day. I think at about 4 1/2 months they started drinking 5oz and then about 5 1/2 or 6 months, they started drinking 6oz and still drink 6oz every 3 hours.

Our girls are 11 weeks old. The baby that uses a bottle usually takes almost four ounces every three to four hours!

Ours will be 3 months this weekend and they eat every 2.5 - 3 hours and eat an average of 3.5 ounces. They usually have 6-7 feeds per day.

Thank you so much! That really helps - so it looks like we are doing ok. My dd eats so much more than my ds, which is weird to me...but, oh well. Like a pp said - she also poops a lot more than he does!?!??!

    Thank you, Everyone!!

mine are almost 4 months now but we still eat the same as last month- anywhere from 3-7 ounces but we dropped one night feeding recently (YEAH@!) so that's where those sometimes extra ounces come from. before that it was always 4-6 ounces every 3 hours or so.
