3 meals a day

When did you all go to 3 meals a day? The boys are currently getting oatmeal in the morning and a veggie at lunch. I would like to add rice cereal or oatmeal after dinner but I don't know if it will be too much for them. So when did you add it in?! TIA

 

I think after the 9 month well baby check-up we added in a 3rd meal.

 

i added the third meal at 9 months, i just didn't want to deal with the clean up before then...

 

9 months for us too!

 

We’ve been doing three meals since our boys hit eight months. Not that we planned it that way, the boys were always getting hungry and their pediatrician told us it was all right (as long as they continue to get at least twenty eight ounces of milk/formula each day)

 

We went to 3 solids meals per day at 9 months. I mixed cereal with all of their foods pretty much until they went off purees.

 

At 8 months they insisted!!! They were starting to go only 2 hours between bottles

 

I think we were on 3 meals by 6 months. We started solids at 4 months.

 

7 months

 

Our girls were going through bottles every 2 hours so we went to 3 meals a day at 6 months. If their meal is a little late (10-15 mintues off of the usual routine) they act like they have been starved for days! They act so mistreated!

 

6months old, they started solids at 4 and 4.5mths old. They really struggle to drink enough so the main reason we added the third was to get more formula down them and it is working a treat!
