Can anybody help me figure out what 3 carseats will fit in the 2nd row in a Honda Pilot? I want 3 5-point harness seats. I currently have 2 Britax Marathons back there and the new baby's Graco Snugride will not fit. I had heard that an Apex 65 was more narrow but I haven't checked it out yet. Please Help!! The new baby will be in the Graco for at least 7 months, but after that they'll all need the same.

Thanks in Advance for your help!!

I have an Audi A6 Wagon and have 3 of the Sunshine Kids Radian 65 Carseats across my back bench seat. They fit perfectly. I wouldn't take them in and out often, but the kids are comfortable and they fit well. HERE it is... I ordered from this site's customer service line and they gave me a multiple discount and free shipping. HTH :)

I have the same seats as Melissa and we really love them. They are narrow and we can fit a person in between them in our Honda CRV. So I would think that in the Pilot it would fit fine.

Totally irrelevant, but I was just watching Jon & Kate Plus 8 and they have the radians too! :)

I don't think the Apex is narrower than the Marathon. You can check this site for details: http://www.carseatdata.org/cnt/resources/c...at-measurements

In my Volvo XC90 I was able to fit 3 across; 2 RF Marathons for the twins and 1 FF Radian 65 for my oldest. It's a great seat but has install issues in certain brands (mainly Toyota / Lexus). I got a rock solid install. It's only 17" wide, has extremely high top slots (way higher than the Marathon) and the same weight limit. My oldest was about to outgrow the Marathon, but still has 2-3 inches of torso height to go in the Radian, so I can keep her harnassed longer (she's 95% for everything since birth). There is also the Radian 80 but I looked up the CDC growth charts and saw that even if my oldest stays on the 95% for weight, she won't hit the 65lbs until age 6 1/2. I am 100% sure she'll outgrow the seat by height before that. The Radian 80 does look a little more comfy but my oldest loves her Radian.

Another option would be sell on of the Marathons on Craigslist and by 2 more Radians. You can usually sell Britax seats for 1/6+ of the value for any year left (the date of manufacturing is on the seat and it's good for 6 years). So e.g. if your seat is 3 years old, you could probably still get $100/125 for that, and get a Radian instead + a new Radian ... maybe you could put your twins in the Radians (assuming their the ones currently in the Marathons) and put the new baby in the Marathon by the time he/she is ready.

    HTH.

We were just dealing with the same exact situation! We have Graco Comfortsport 5 point harness seats and a Graco Snugride in the same row in our Pilot. They all fit tightly. I took the car to the police station and he adjusted baby seat for us. He told us that the seats were safe but he thought it was going to be a pain for me getting the baby in and out of the middle like that. But the most important thing was that they were safe!

We ended up trading in the Pilot and buying the Odyssey Monday night mostly because we got a GREAT deal.

I have a Nissan Xterra and when Mary Elizabeth was born, we couldn't get all 3 car seats in the back seat. We had Graco Eddie Bauers and her Graco infant carrier. We bought the twins the Sunshine Radian 65s and now all 3 fit great!! Too bad my baby is ready for a big girl car seat at this point. Luckily Gretchen meets all of our state qualifications for a booster so Mary Elizabeth will get the Radian.

We have the Sunshine Kids radian 65 as well. They are much thinner than our Britax Roundabouts (we made the switch almost a year ago). I can't remember what site I bought them from, but I got free shipping and instead of ordering off the website, I called the 800 number and asked about a twin discount (which they gave me!). So my advice is, when you make your decision call the seller to ask about a possible discount!
