So I have been battling this problem for a while now. He will eat veggies of many types aside from things like tomatoes, etc, which is probably normal for the age. But he will absolutely not eat fruit unless it is Apples (cut up), or applesauce, or pureed fruit, like the Gerber kind (pears, peaches, etc). I have tried and tried giving him cut up grapes, cantelope, canned pears, canned peaches and he won't eat them. I still give him the pureed stuff after I try the whole stuff but to no avail. I tried just not giving him fruit hoping he would eventually want it but he gets soooo constipated. Any advice??

I have no ideas for getting him to eat cut-up friut. (I have the opposite problem with veggies and my older DD) What about making fruit smoothies or popsicles. Will he eat dried fruit? I know it's rough on teeth but a good brushing will solve that.

Just keep offering it to him and supplementing with the pureed stuff, and continue giving him what he will eat. Smoothies are great if you are looking for a way to get more variety in him. My boys inherited my finicky texture dislikes, so it took them a while to eat fresh fruit. The lived on canned fruit forever, but now, at age 5, they like almost all fresh fruit.

Does he like dip? Maybe you could make a yogurt dip for him to dip his fruit into? That might tempt him :)

I would also try giving smoothies or maybe dice up the canned peaches really small and offer it over yogurt or ice cream. DH makes blueberry pancakes on the weekends and the girls love them. Maybe you could try making them? Also, continue serving it cut up. One day he might surprise you and try some.

It takes up to 15 attempts for someone to try a food - a nutritionist told me this recently. So, hang in there and don't give up. I would keep giving the food cut up but also keep some pureed ones in there as well. Eventually, your DS will start to eat more solid fruits. In his own time...

On a side note, have you heard of Juice Plus+? It is 17 fruits and veggies in a gummy form, which is great for toddlers. My kids have been taking them since 22 months and LOVE them. I don't have to worry about them not getting enough fruits and veggies, because I know each day they are getting 17! Which is more than what I could ever serve them, and they ask for more! If you would like more info, please feel free to contact me. My website is in my signature as well.

    Best of luck. HTH. :)
