2T boys clothes that run large?

I would love some advice on which clothes brands tend to run large. Here's the problem: Declan is a big boy, not so much in his tummy area :D , but has long long legs (he takes after DH's side--FIL was an 8lb twin and now 6'6). Anyway, he's been in 2T for a while now. I've been buying their stuff almost all from Old Navy--just for convenience--but it seems to run on the small side. Even Ronan (who takes after my side, i.e. peanut-sized) is in their 2T size at 15 months. I really need to get D some new clothes because the 2T bodysuits and some of the pants are too small. I just need enough stuff to get through the rest of the winter, so I don't want to buy 3T, but thought that maybe other companies out there tend to run bigger?

Would greatly appreciate any help! Thanks!

Would it really be a problem to buy 3t if that is the size he needs? JcPenny is big around the waist (my 3t girls can't wear 2t stuff) legnth wise my best suggestion is to buy 3t because I don't think they make longs till 6-6x

Sounds to me like it is just time to buy some new clothes. I would buy the 3T because chances are, he will still be wearing 3T next winter. Ben is a BIG boy too, but managed to get two winters out of his 3T stuff. Can your other son wear the 3T stuff next winter then too (if Declan has outgrown it)?

Besides, if you HAVE to buy new clothes anyways, I suppose it doesn't matter if you go with 2T or 3T, right?

And FWIW, I think that the Children's Place runs a little big for boys.

I also think that the children's place runs big for boys. my 9yr old who normally wears a 12, wears an 8 from TCP.

Their growth slows down so much now that I'd just go ahead and get 3T stuff since it will fit now and likely next Fall. We seem to be "off" on the seasons and I ended up using some 18M stuff at the beginning of Fall and now that's all too small but the 2T stuff I bought that didn't fit then is perfect and will likely fit again next Fall (but not next Winter...) Does that make sense?
