2nd U/S Update

I posted here for the first time a couple of weeks ago when we found out we were expecting twins. Our doctor was a little concerned at the time of our first u/s that one of the babies was not measuring where the other one was at. It was so nice to get messages of support from everyone who had had similar experiences. Thank you for your reassurances. Well the good news is I went for another u/s today and both babies are measuring exactly where I am at, 8w4d and both heartbeats were strong, one was 171 and the other 178. Thanks again for all your kinds words and I look forward to being a part of these boards for a long time to come.

One question, I am having some pretty bad headaches that last for a couple of days. I know I can only take Tylenol, which I haven't done yet since I hate to take anything while I am pregnant. Is anyone else suffering from bad headaches and have you got any suggestions on how to ease them. I'm trying to drink lots of water and stay hydrated but that's not really helping.

 

That is wonderful about the babies I know you must be relived.

I take Tylenol. I get 3 to 4 bad headaches a week now, no matter how much water I drink.

I have had the worst headaches ever...it feels like I am always hungover without the drunk! all the time!

A little caffiene helps with my headaches. It is worth a try. Glad to hear the u/s went well.

 

Water, water, water.. Oh, and then tylenol & caffiene! Good news about your ultrasound! Congrats! & :hi: welcome to TS!

 

Take Tylenol. I tried to tough it out like you... and I was miserable. I finally broke down and took Tylenol - it made a huge difference. I would also drink a soda, that seemed to help.

It's funny but I've been wanting to drink a soda but was worried about the caffeine . . . I guess one won't hurt and I know it will probably help because that always did before I was pregnant! I think I am going to cave and take the Tylenol too since it sounds like this will be an ongoing thing!

 

My headaches got so bad my OB prescribed a pill called Fiorecet.......... It was caffeine!

I HAVE the same thing with headaches, and I tried sooo hard not to take anything for my headaches… but finally when I would have them 2 days in a row I would take Tylenol… but it only helped… didn’t cure… finally I talked to my Dr and he suggested coffee (or 8oz of caffeine)… as I was starting to get them everyday… he said I would rather you have 8 oz of coffee then Tylenol … but I was given the okay to take Tylenol… I only drink half and half… half decaf half reg blend (with a little hot chocolate mix to make it yummy). Hope this helps, let us know…
