Hi, I am a nervous wreck. I have B/B twins who just turned 4 and an 20 mo old boy as well. All are from IVF. We just did a FET and transferred 2 Blasts and we think they both may have taken. This will give us 5 kids under the age of 4 1/2 yrs. How in the H#LL am I going to manage?? Has anyone else been there and done this?? I don't even know if I can fit 5 car seats in my minivan.....

My first U/S is not until 7/6 but my beta came back at levels consistant with my first set of twins and they say that FET numbers tend to be lower (first set was a fresh cycle)...

Did I mention I was totally FREAKING OUT????????????????????

 to you! I have not shared a similar experience but we do have women on this site who have had 2 sets of twins. I know if I found out I was having another set of twins I would be so shocked, surprised and overwhelmed. I wish you all the luck in your pregnancy.

Just to also let you know, we have a triplets and large families forum & expecting after twins forum and you might find additional support there. Hang in there Momma!

Hey Erin, congrats on your pregnancy! I can imagine how overwhelmed you must be feeling right now. I just wanted to let you know that I did a FET and ended up with these twins (crazy excited) and my levels were sky high! So I wouldn't listen to that myth of numbers being lower due to FET.

However, how did you manage with your first set of twins and then your singleton? You got through it right?! We always do!!!! Its amazing how we get through the most difficult times....but you will do it! I'm confident that you are an excellent mother and any child is a blessing and you will do JUST FINE with this next pregnancy may it be a singleton or a multipul pregnancy!

    Keep us posted and breath!

Hi Erin! Congrats! :clapping: I'm sure it will be tough to wait until 7/6, hang in there.

I would wait until the u/s before getting too nervous about it. Beta numbers don't necessarily tell how many babies are in there. Keep us posted.

Congrats and WOW!! For what it's worth, I recently saw Willard Scott wishing a woman a happy birthday on the Today show - she was 102. And she had THREE sets of twins. So apparently it's true that what doesn't kill us makes us stronger! ;)

But seriously, I agree w/ the logic that you probably freaked about your first set of twins and you've managed to figure it out so far with them. I wish you the very best and a happy, healthy pregnancy!!!

Take a deep breath! You have already survived twins, you CAN and WILL do it again if it's twins again. And you have 9 months to figure out how to arrange carseats and such. Your older children will probably be starting school soon, right? That will help. I've kind of lurked on the large families forum because we still want several more, and those women make me feel like I can do anything - I would say go there, and ask for support. Best of luck!

    Congratulation of your pregnancy!!!
about high beta - it doesn't mean anything :) it just might be earlier implantation of one embie. I have normal singleton beta numbers and end up with twins :)

and PP right you already have twins and it woudl be easy with this one :) and older kids will help too :)

I am not on here much, but wanted to give you my story! I have twin boys from an IVF cycle and a daughter from a FET. My beta from my singleton pregnancy was 4 x higher than my beta with my twins. I was so scared for weeks until it was finally confirmed to only be one baby in there. I know it is hard not to think about it, but wait and see what the ultrasound shows!! Good luck!

Don't stress too much!!! My beta numbers with a singleton (single blast transfer) and with these twins were almost the same! The numbers don't really mean much other than whether they double or not.

I second the "don't stress about beta's"....they are not a great indicator or multiples...

Every pg is different and there are no explanations as to why some betas are higher than others. Some say girls have higher beta's, some say boys...you just never really know why. I have seen some people on here with twins and their betas were very low and some didn't even initially double! Then I saw some people with beta's through the roof and they had just one healthy baby!!!

But, if it is twins, you know what you are doing and you might find it actually easier the second time around!!

    Either way...congrats!!

Like someone else said, wait to see what the u/s shows before freaking out. There is such a broad range with the levels that there could just be one baby...Plus you obviously wanted one more since you went thru the procedure again, so think of it as just one extra if it is twins...It will be a lot im sure, but you will manage some way some how...lots of luck!
