We just found out last week we are expecting again. Our twins are 19 months old (fraternal girls). I have a feeling that this pregnancy is multiples also, but am totally fine if it doesn't turn out that way. However, I had pretty major symptoms before I even thought to take a test. I chalked it up to a NASTY case of PMS, but it lasted for two weeks. I'm not sure how far along I am exactly, but can't be more than 6 weeks, probably around 4 or 5. I've already gained 12 pounds in a week and a couple other symptoms that I had with my twins but not my singleton. Mostly, it is just a feeling. We will find out how many are in there on August 9th.

To all you moms who have more than one set of twins... did you know? Were your symptoms any different or did you just have a gut feeling?

Nope - I was in complete denial. DH kept saying there were 2 (as he does this time too) but I kept insisting it was only 1. :) This time I also think there's just 1, so we'll see.

I did. We had to use IVF to get our first set of twins but then lo and behold, our second set came spontaniously. I found out I was pregnant when I was about a week 'late.' I scheduled my appt. at 8 weeks. I even posted on this website that I swore it was twins again and even wondered outloud to family and friends about the 'how many.' Twins do not run in our family. No genetic twins whatsoever. So, when I had the ultrasound and there were two, I was still shocked. I did end up losing one within the next two weeks, but I knew. I felt extra bloated actually. I never had morning sickness.

Congratulations!! Can't wait to hear how many you actually have in there!

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

All I can say was that with this pregnancy ( first after twins) I had NO idea!!! As a matter of a fact, I had food aversions just like with the twins and I felt and looked like a bloated puffer fish and we are just having one.

Well, the way I've been feeling, I've actually been wondering triplets... so suffice it to say, if there is only one in there, I am throwing this whole "Mother's Instinct" thing out the window.

I went through 2 bags of Butterfinger candy bars before I even took a test... leftover from Halloween even. I don't EVER eat candy.
I've gained 12 lbs in a week (I started at 112, 5'7"... I think this was just my body's way of getting a reserve built up before I get too sick as all three pregnancies I've weighed about 125 at the time of first doctor's visit)
I have had constant diarrhea (Sorry TMI) which I only had with the twins until about 10 weeks, not with my son.
I was super bloated for about 2 weeks before I found out.
My clothes that were falling off me a couple weeks ago barely fit (I chalk this one up to being my 3rd pregnancy in 4 years)
    SUPER MOODY... my poor DH
So tired. I can sleep on command any time of day... All I want to do is sleep actually.

Anyway, it will be interesting to find out for sure. DS says it's two boys. When we asked him "Well, what if it's a girl?" he said, "No, I've got enough. I want two boys please." He is 3. :)

I am 9 weeks pregnant with my second set of twins, the first was identical. As soon as I took the test I had a GUT feeling there were two. Last weeks sonogram confirmed it! yikes.

Let us know if your gut feeling is right!

ya.. I just knew here.. took the test about a week before I was supposeded to have my period and it was VERY positive. Then started getting sick at 5 weeks and lost almost 10 lbs in a week. I only got sick around 9 weeks with the girls but this time I think it was partly cuz I just knew it was twins and I was excited but super nervous as we all know how it can go. So, I kept telling DH it was twins and he said no way but the ultrasound at 5 weeks 4 days proved it! I went to a new doc this time and thot I was pretty calm at that first appt. Suddenly he said "You seem pretty uptight about something. What is it?" I told him I thought it was twins and he ssid NO Way! Doesn't happen twice.. but we will do an ultasound just to prove it.. TWO LITTLE BABIES! I am 28 weeks 2 days and it hasn't been easy but we've got this far and God is def watching out for us! Good luck to you! Wishing a you a happy and healthy pregnancy whatever it is! :)
