I had a cervix ultrasound yesterday, and while the total length is approx. 3.5 cm, 2.5 cm of that was open (almost looked like a funnel - is that what funneling is?). You could see that the end near the babies was open, and fluid was around the mucus plug - but the bottom 1 cm was closed w/ no fluid in it. My OB wants me to come back on Friday for another check to see if there was any change but is this something I should be concerned about? I'm not sure if I should just lay down today and tomorrow until my ultrasound at 4:30pm or if I should go about my day as usual...

    Thanks!

From what you are describing that does sound like funneling. I agree with Nicole, I would definitely take it easy and lay down until your next u/s. GL!!

If you can stay off your feet and rest, I would....
Keep us posted on how it goes tomorrow.....

I didnt see if you said you talked to your doctor?? I would definetly call or email them about it. I a surprised your not on bedrest! I would definetly put myself on it until further notice! Did they do an exam to see if you are definelty dialated? I am not dialated (as of 10/30 appt) but effacing and have been on bed rest since my 24th week. Definetly talk to your doc and lay down :) that seems to be the best medicine for our lovely cervix's!
