Today I had to wait at the doctor's office for 3 HOURS for my regular appt! I was pissed, but what can you do? Of course, today was also the first time I invited my mom to go so we had to take my 2 1/2 year old DD with us. Luckily, my DD behaved beautifully! The best part of the whole appt is when she crawled up on the examining table while we were waiting on the u/s room, pulled up her dress and said "doctor get baby out of tummy".

Anyway, I had my 28 week appt and would you believe, both babies have turned in the past 2 1/2 weeks and are head down! Of course they could still turn again, but the doctor thinks it is promising. I really don't want a c-section so this was great news! He did decide not to measure the twins this time though which was disappointing. I really wanted to know how much they've grown since my last appt plus every pound they gain gives me hope that the babies might actually make it. He was able to see Baby B actually breathing (chest expanding) and said that was great. As for me, my blood pressure is great, cervix is long and closed still, and I only gained 3 pounds in the last 2 1/2 weeks. He wants to see me in another 2 weeks, but I made my appt for 2 1/2 weeks because I can't stand these long appts.

Congratulations on both babies being head down! Hopefully they will stay like that for you and you can go for a nice, uneventful vaginal birth!
I was at my doctor's office for over 2 hours last time, too. You would think they would have a backup plan of some sort... he has 2 other doctors in the practice... call one in! But like you said, what can you do? Once you're there, you may as well wait it out. It's great your daughter behaved so well!
Congrats on the good (although very long) appointment!

Congrats on a great appt!! How cute of your DD. LOL! My DD is 20 months and when I ask her where the babies are, she points to my stomach and says they are going "nigh nigh" lol!

Sounds like a great appointment! Sorry to hear about the wait. I used to leave work for my appointments and it would frustrate me how far behind they could be. I understood though because the first time I went in I am sure I made them even later since the u/s was scheduled for one baby and there were two in there. What I did was worked out with the secretary that I would call about an hour before my appointment to see how far behind they were running and I would go in that much later sccordingly. It worked great for us!

Bummer about the wait, but what a sweet DD.

Funny, all I could think of about the long wait was "OMG, did she have a book and SNACKS?!"

Shows you where MY mind is these days.....there are times where I get the feeling that if i don't eat NOW I'm going to just fall down!
