24wk doc appt

had a doc appt yesterday! it was a quick one, i dont know how big im measuring but i have gained 28lbs so far (WOW!!). i got for my 1st growth u/s next saturday, and then in 2 weeks i go for the 1 hour GD test. my appts are every 2 weeks, and he wants me finished work by 26weeks, so 2 more weeks and im done. i asked about traveling to GA in 9 weeks to see dh and he gave me a big fat no, but in a nice way, lol. makes me verrrry sad. he gets 36hours to just relax in a hotel room and i wanted so so so bad to see him and hug him and just be with him again...maybe i will ask again next visit, lol. ugh okay, gotta stop talking about dh or im gonna cry again anyhow, thats it for my update! i cant believe how many of you are SOOOO close to having your babies. time went so fast!

 

Great update! Sorry the dr. doesn't want you to go visit DH in 9 weeks, I would be upset too, you don't want to risk anything traveling so far. :hug99:

 

why do you have to stop working at 26 weeks???

 

not sure? i work at walmart on the salesfloor so im on my feet and walking around lifting, bending, etc for 8 hours

 

I am glad your appointment went well. I have been thinking of you, and wondering how you are holding up. I know you are lonely, just try to keep busy. I am sorry you won't be able to see him graduate. That is a bummer, but you can't be traveling when you are so far along with twins. Hang in there! Lisa

 

7 more days to go for you! i bet youre so so so excited. i cant wait til mine comes home. are you stationed up in hamburg and what branch is dh in? i cant remember the name but there was a fort something up in ny, close to canada that was a possibility for us as far as where we might be in 4 months. im hoping to stay east coast, all our family is in the tristate area, sure would make holidays easier

I am excited. Well, excited is an understatement. My girls are flipping out now that it is so close. We aren't active duty anymore. We both got out of active duty in 1998. He went back in a year later because he missed it, and is a reservist at Niagara Falls AFB. We live outside of Buffalo.

I hope you get east coast if that is what you want. I ended up in California and loved it, despite the fact that I had wanted east coast. I think what it boils down to is that we can do anything- especially if we know it is temporary!
