24 week appt

Well I had my 24 week appt yesterday and it went great :a_smil09: . Dr. said everything looks great, baby is growing and we have reached our first goal, she said ournext goal is 28 weeks and is looking at us making a final goal of 32 weeks andything after that will be a bonus. She thinks that I'm just not going to make it much further than that and to keep that in mind, so that puts us in high gear to get everthing ready. We are making a goal of our own of 34 weeks God willing and I hope we get there. She is putting me on a home uterine monitor that will report to the hospital and they will contact me if there is more than normal activity, so that's great. I got my first steroid shot yesterday and the 2nd dose today. Did I mention I did my glucose test yesterday as well, yeah I had a busy day. I'm so glad we made it to this critical point. She checked my cerclage manually and everything is holding tight and is closed, I have my next appt in 2 weeks, she said I could see her weekly if I'd like but having a two week wait isn't as bad as I thought and I can always go in if I have a problem before that. Oh, and the meds thay gave me on Fri at L/D helped so much, no more vomiting, bleeding, and best of all I was able to eat a cheeseburger and not get heartburn, maybe I'll gain a few more lbs. I finally gained 3lbs since the last visit so I was thrilled. Well that's all for now ladies, I'll keep you updated on the uterine monitoring and how that works out.
