We found out today at 21 wks at a routine u/s that what we thought was just baby #9 is indeed 9 AND 10!!! Our first set is fraternal boys and these are yet another set of fraternal little boys. We are elated and still quite in shock. After 3 single pregnancies before twins and 3 single pregnancies after twins I just assumed we would be having singles from now on and it was just a fluke of my body to pop out 2 the first time. Twins do not run in our family so we are still stunned and absolutely overjoyed. I carried our 1st set to 40 wks so hopefully this set will be just as uneventful.

oh Congrats! we found ours at our 21wk u/s too! It will be interesting to see if these end up ID or frats like your first ones!
I never suspected twins with this pregnancy at all!!! I think I"ve had myself convinced so many other times in other pregnancies after our 1st set and it turned out to to be a single that I was just sure we'd never have another set of twins. Our midwife kept saying this pregnancy that she was positive it was a single pregnancy so 2 weeks before my u/s I got rid of all of our twin stuff I'd been hanging onto. LOL! I'd just come off birth control when I got pregnant with our 1st set and all of the dr's said that was the reason we had fraternal twins since there is not a history in my family. We no longer use birth control so I assumed our chances of twins again kind of went out the window with the birth control. With this pregnancy I measured 2 cm behind up until 16 wks and then measured only 1 cm ahead. With all of my singles I always measure behind so we figured it was just 1 again. I've been sick with our 3 girls so when I was sooooo sick this pregnancy I just figured it was another single girl. So, no....I defintely did not suspect twins at all. Now looking back though there were some things that were painfully obvious. I guess I was just living in denial. LOL!
