20 wk u/s today and the gender is...

a boy! And just one! I do have placenta previa, which is kinda scary, but they'll check me again in 8 weeks, then again at 32 weeks to see if it's moved enough to try a VBAC. My Dr. told me today that if it doesn't move, then there is a 25% chance that the placenta will have grown into my previous c-section scar tissue and he'll have to do a partial hysterectomy during the c-section. I'm choosing not to worry yet. Our little boy looked fine - and everything was present and accounted for. He was super active, the tech had a hard time getting good photos. So, after having twin girls, we have a boy!

 

Congratulations!! I had placenta previa early on with my DD and it moved out of the way in plenty of time. Of course, I didn't have a c/s scar to worry about. The odds are in your favor, though Congrats on your little boy!

 

Congrats! I'm glad you're not worrying - the vast majority of previa cases resolve themselves without incident. :good:

Yay for a little boy! We have boy twins and are expecting a little girl...I am so excited! I have placenta previa too, but I looked up the odds and it is definitely most likely that the placenta will grow out of the way...fingers crossed! Hope you are feeling well!
