    Hi Everyone!

Okay, I was very happy to buy the cans of Enfamil that had 20% more formula in them. Well, when I opened the can this morning I noticed that there really didn't seem to be 20% more formula. Did anyone else notice this? I feel jipped! hehe <_<

I think they reduced the size of the cans.. by 20%. So technically those cans have 20% more in them... but it's really just a scam.

Have you tried the generic versions of it? We use the Target one and it works just as well, for much cheaper.

Oh geeish, that is wild! I'm actually going to try the Target brand this weekend when I go shopping. I have heard a lot of good things about their brand of formula!

    Thanks!

I would buy the smallest one and try it for a day if you are going to switch to a Target brand. I hope it works for you because it is less than half the cost, but I bought a can (since someone stole all the Enfamil from my Target), and one of my babies got the worst diaper rash I have ever seen from it. Not to discourage anyone, but that was just my experience this past week.

I don't know about the 20% more thing, but I do have a comment. I was using a store brand and my Dr. told me that I HAD to use Enfamil or Similac. She said that the other brands do not absorb the same even though they say they have the same thing. She said it was not a choice and I should skimp on other things like diapers, wipes, etc. I hate it too because it was saving me sooooo much money. I don't know if it is true, but I wanted to let you know what she said?

not true - Formula is FDA regulated so it ALL has to be made to the same standards...personally I LIKED Similac's Isomil so much better than store brand and after the trauma we went through BEFORE getting on soy I stuck with it - the kids didn't mind it and it was for my sanity!

LOL! That sounded so cynical. It made me laugh.

I asked my ped when we switched N&M from preemie formula at 6 months and he said go ahead. Nutritionally the formulas were the same.

I agree that it's not true due to FDA regulations. Maybe your Dr gets some kind of kick backs from the Enfamil and Similac reps. I would hope not though!

We use Costco Kirkland brand formula, its $20 for two big cans. My girls were 28 week preemies and we went straight from neosure to the generic (at 4 months old) and have had absolutely no problems. I would be in the poor house if I was paying what Similac and Enfamil want for their formula!!
