20 months and gettinh out of a crib?

ever happen to you and what to do???? i walked in my daughters room and she was out of her crib!

 

Mine climbed out when hey were 18 months. Here what we did. We put them in sleep sacks. It worked but they were freaked out and screamed and puked. Then i removed mattress supports and put the mattresses right on the floor but still in the cribs. This worked wonder but only for 1 month. One night, my daughter got nightmare and woke up climbed out and failed on her head. So that was it. Toddler beds they started using. It was 2 full crazy months with the crib issue. It doesnt wnd yet. Now they do fall asleep in their beds but i have to be in the room. If not, they wont sleep. They will run and play forever. My daughter falls asleep then my son wakes her up again. I am so tired of this all crib thing. Gl!

 

My daughter climbed out of her crib at 19 months. I remember speaking to my cousin on the phone and hearing wailing from upstairs. Opened her door and there she is, in tears on the other side of the room from her crib. She had a crib that did transfer into a toddler bed but her crib also had a changing table attached to it. We just did the transition to a toddler bed. It took her a couple of weeks to not see naps as play time. I would have to sit in the room with her and quietly put her back to bed. But she did adjust and did fine. I would not have minded keeping her in a crib a little longer but she was our climbing little monkey.

 

All my boys climbed out of the crib early. But DS #2 and the twins were just so strong...they ended up in toddler beds very early. We childproofed as best as possible and tried to contain them in their room.
