2 weeks from today!

Exactly 2 weeks from now, I will be holding my sweet little baby girl!! I can't hardly believe she's almost here. I was just telling DH that about this time in 2 weeks, I should be up and able to get out of bed from the c-section, the girls will be with grandma and grandpa and it will just be DH, me and our newest addition!!!! I'm SOOOOO excited!!!

I'm done working at BRU...which is a huge relief b/c I was getting REALLY tired and exhausted on those days...not to mention swelling feet and backaches. As much as I loved working there, I was SO glad last night was my last night. I have 4 days left at my other job (tomorrow and 3 days next week) and I'm DONE there next Friday!!! The week after that...March 10, 11, 12, the girls will be at the sitter and I have NOTHING planned. No work, no NOTHING. I plan on getting stuff done around the house and relaxing those last couple of days! The day before my c-section...I'm treating myself to a mani/pedi and eye brow wax (LONG overdue...lol) at one of the local spas.

 

Sounds like a great plan in "preparing" yourself before she arrives. Now lets just hope she stays in until then so you can have your relaxing time.

 

Thit is so exciting! Two weeks will fly by!! Hope you get in your spa day!!

Enjoy your two weeks and get as much rest as possible. Before long there will be lots of sleepless nights. I can't believe you are almost there.

 

Yay!!! You must be so excited. My baby will be arriving by planned c-section on March 11th, so just a couple of days before yours. Like you, I am treating myself to a pedicure in the days before - we deserve it!

Congrats on finishing one job and almost being done with the 2nd!

 

Yay, Becky it is sooooo close! Can you believe it's almost here? :banana: I'm taking the day off before my c/s and getting a pedicure, too! Enjoy your pampering and try to squeeze in a few extra naps!

Yeah, we are going to do something special with the girls that week, not sure what yet. And, we have plans on having a day with just them (after the baby is settled in and grandma and grandpa can watch the baby) and taking them to lunch and Build A Bear...I'm REALLY excited about that. The girls are getting SO excited about the baby coming...I hope their enthusiasm is just the same after she arrives!

It will be... don't listen to naysayers talking about sibling jealousy. Honestly, I have not seen that with any of my kids ever. My kids all LOVE their baby sister. The twins took a little longer to warm up to her...not b/c they were missing attention, but b/c they were uncertain. It's like when some new object comes into the house and they aren't sure if they are allowed to touch it, play with it. They slowly warmed up to her where they were giving her kisses, etc. Now they all squeal when she smiles and insist that "she's smiling at ME." So long as you go out of your way to help the big girls feel included and loved you won't have problems.

I think that's awesome that you are getting a trip into the spa. I have a gift card to a local one just sitting on my dresser, and I can't wait to use it!
