So just wondering how others born around the same time are doing:

Mine were born at 37 weeks, 5.1 & 5.7 and are now 7.14 and 9.2.

Also curious how everyone's first rounds of shots went.

we got 3 shots each, both girls seem to be in a lot of pain by the injection site, one swelled up, of course that is the more fussy one! HOw did ur guys do?

I am wondering if anyone gives the shots at different times so they don't have to deal with 2 miserable babies at the same time?

My girls were born at 36 weeks 5 days and were 6 pounds 2 ounces and 5 pounds 13 ounces. I don't remember how much they weighed at 2 months old but they are very petite children. I think the size of your babies as they grow has a lot to do with genetics. We did shots at the same time but I found that giving them a bath after shots really helped to calm them down and make them feel better!

Sounds like they are growing great! It never occurred to me to give shots at different times. I think I would rather get all the fussiness over at once! Are you giving them Tylenol?

I gave my two tylenol when we got to the ped's office (which was about 30 minutes to one hour approx. before they'd be getting the shots) and did the bath when we got home. :good: I did also schedule the appointments in late afternoon so that we'd get home and have it coincide with the cranky hours and then they'd go to bed. They were crankier then normal and the injection site was a bit swollen but nothing that they didn't get over in a day (or two). I agree with Becky, I'd rather get it the fussiness out of the way all at once, because you know if one is crying the other will join in regardless.

I never thought to have them done separately either. Just gave Tylenol if it was necessary. Sounds like they are growing great!! :woo:

I have the stats in my siggy, at birth they were 7.2 and 6.4. I think at 2 months it was 10.15 and 10.2 but I'll have to post to make sure! :p

As for shots, we always do tylenol before hand too and I'd rather get all the fussies out at once! :p

    Yep I was right!

My babies are going to be two months old tomorrow, they had their two month appt. today. DS was 6lbs 7 oz at birth and DD was 7lbs 0 oz. They are now 11 lbs (DS) and 11 lbs 12 oz (DD). As for shots, I've decided against them. Educate before you vaccinate, heres a very good site if anyone is interested. http://mvvic.org/ But wow I can't believe their already two months old!! time sure does fly even though its been a long two months with lack of sleep.

We go to the doc on Monday. Looking foward to see how their development is going but not to the shots. My office uses the cream that you apply to their legs before you get there. I am hoping that with some tylenol will work pretty good! Anyone else use this?

I will post my update Monday!

My boys were born at 38.2 weeks, and were 7.14 and 8.4 pounds. At 2 months, they are now 11.1 and 12 pounds. They are also drinking 6 oz at every feeding, rolling over, cooing and scooting accross the floor.

Kenneth and Ian are 3 months and 2 days old

Mine were 6.3 and 5.12 when they were born at 37 weeks. Around 2 months they were in the 8-9 lb range.

Re: vaccinations, we get them all their shots but space them out every two-three weeks so that they don't get all that aluminum and other chemicals in their systems at once. It's really the most number of shots in the first 6 months--so many! It was something we did a lot of research about, The Vaccine Book by Sears gives lots of objective information, it's not an anti-vaccine book.

I also wanted to mention that the numbing cream you can apply to their legs is not prescription, you can get in from your pharmacist--it's just behind the counter. We love it, plus the tylenol--seems to work great in calming the fussies.
