For us, it wasn't too bad. I was nervous too before their first shots. :hug99: It will be more painful for you to watch them get it then it is for them. My only suggestion {and ask your pediatrician before you go in} is to give them tylenol about an hour or two before your appointment. That way they have it in their system and you can avoid the fussiness that is associated sometimes after the shots. My two did pretty well. They did have a bit of a rougher night after shots {meaning they were fussy} but overall, it wasn't bad. My ds actually slept more for two days. :pardon: I hope everything goes smoothly for your two. :)

Mine just had theirs done. They cried during the shots but stopped shortly after he was done. The only crappy thing is that they were fussy for a few days after.

Mine did well with the shots. They cried when they were getting the shots and stopped soon after. It'll be okay :hug99: .

Another suggestion- nurse or bottle feed them right after!! That totally helped! Mine slept all day after the shots

we just had our 2 month shots this week. The girls cried during and just after. We did tylenol at the dr's office and 4 hrs later. They were very sleepy for the next day or so, but they did just great.

    Good Luck.

2 months wasn't too bad. I didn't give them tylenol immediately after and when they woke up from their naps they were crying a lot, so I called the pedi and got the tylenol dose, made DH leave work and go pick some up to bring home to us. After that they were fine. So my one piece of advice is to go get some infant tylenol, bring it to your appointment and ask the doctor what the dose is and give it to them right after the shots (in case they fall asleep on the ride home). BTW, I'm pretty sure they were crying because their legs hurt... every time Ana moved a leg, she'd scream and break my heart. GL and let us know how it goes.

We just did first shots and Evan was sore afterwards. The doctor told us to give tylenol every 4 hours for the first day. What I find though, the twins (and Evan) always slept better at night after their shots. Like PP's have stated.. it hurts me more than it does them. Try and have a onsie on already so you don't have to dress them afterwards. Nursing/bottle afterwards would also help!

We didn't do any tylenol, and ours cried for about 30 seconds tops. They slept more during the day, otherwise it was business as usual. :)

They are done really quickly. They cried for a bit and then it was over, but they were sore and a little cranky for the next couple of days. The nurse said that a lot of moms cry, but I think that makes the babies cry more. Just hold their hands and talk to them and then hug them tight after and they will be fine. My DH came before work so that we could each hold a baby, this worked out really well. Good luck and try not to worry they will be fine.
