We never really had a lot of trouble. It really made mine more clingy and sleepy than fussy. I gave them tylenol after we got home and the next morning too. They still had a low grade temp. they were just fine after a couple of days. I don't know if this has anything to do with shots or it just happened at the same time but both of my girls poop got really dark green.

    Good luck

I hope I am so lucky. The nurse gave them Tylenol before we left so they seem ok so far. No fever as of yet.

    Thanks

i also always give them tylenol after their shots and have never really had any problems. more problems getting the bandaid off than anythnig! last time i actually asked them to leave it off, and taht was better. i will tell you, that my daughter slept FANTASTIC after getting shots- always does, that same night and esp. the next day. son slept better than usual too, but not quite like her. i hope you get that nice little reprieve!

Never came with ours either. But I did give them Tylenol as soon as we checked in at the office. Congratulations on surviving the emotional torture!

My babies just tended to sleep a lot after the shots. Josh was the only one that ever got a fever afterwards.

My girls slept on the way home from the doctor and when they woke up an hour later, they were cranky!!! But that is because no one told me about giving them tylenol and their legs hurt (they would scream after moving them!). After a call to the ped and a dose of tylenol they were themselves again, if a little more sleepy. They never ran a fever or were cranky. For their 4 month shots, I made sure to give them tylenol right after! :)

I also gave them infant Tylenol at the Ped's office and never really had any trouble. The only thing that happened is that I accidentially squeezed one of their legs while changing a diaper and got a good scream.

Mine didn't get cranky from shots until about 6 months on. Before then they were just extra sleepy.

Be grateful it hasn't kicked in yet. Who knows, maybe yours won't react that way!

Mine never got cranky or fussy at all after their 2, 4 and 6 month needles. We gave them Tempra at the doctor's office.

After their 2 month shots they did spend the entire afternoon sleeping. Their 4 and 6 month shots they were totally normal.

So far thay are just being themselves. I am so thankful. I was so scared they would react poorly and I am home alone until Friday.

If the shots affected my kids, it was always that night and sometimes the next day. But usually I noticed it right away. I hope your appt went well!

With the 2mo shots, DS had no reaction at all. DD had a low fever the next day and was very limp and sleepy. No real fussiness, though.

The 4mo shots were the real killer - they were cranky all night, waking up every couple hours.

For the 6mo shots, we got smart and gave them preemptive Tylenol, and everything was cool.

Mine were just sleepy, too. Didn't get "bad" at all. Good luck!

I guess mine are a bit different, but I had some cranks! We gave them tylenol at the pedi's office, and then they slept in the car, came home, had a bottle and fell asleep. About 2 hours later, they woke up from their naps, and screamed for a few hours ... not non-stop, but one would be super fussy, then the other ... back and forth until they went to bed that night. Never had fevers or anything like that ... We gave them tylenol for the rest of the night as soon as we were allowed ... and by the next monring they were back to normal ... hope things go smoothly for you ...

Mine hit us during the night and the next day... Maybe you'll be lucky and not have it!

They just slept after their 4 mos shots and we had their 6 mos today and they are sleeping more today, but I'll take it!

They were great. No crankines at all, no fever, they slept the regular 11 hours last night. I was so worried.

I am definately thankful the nurse gave them tylenol following the shots.

    Thanks everyone!
