I know I should just call the peds office but surely someone on here knows. Do the kids have well baby cks at 2 1/2 or just at 3 yrs. It seems like a year would be too long but not sure. I think they are done w/ immunizations, so there may be no need. We are getting ready to move and our insurance will be changing. I thought it might be nice to have one more ck before we leave.... TIA Alicia
My friend had a 2.5 year check-up but that was because her boy is well below the chart for weight and the doctor wanted to see him in 6 months. Normally, you go to annual checkups after the 24-month one. It does seem like a long time after having so many well-baby visits!
We jumped from 2 - 3. FEELS LONG!!! You go from every month to 2 mos. to 6 mos. and then 6 mos. and then BLAMMO a YEAR!! I FINALLY have mine this week for 3! Seems like forever!
We will have one at 2.5 next month due to the girls' low weights. The smallest was at the 3rd percentile at 24 months, so the ped wanted a check at 2.5 to see if they've gotten back on track. Otherwise, it would have been the 3 yo check next.
Only 2 and then 3, unless there are medical reasons (slow growth, delays, etc.) to do a 2 1/2 year check up. At least my office's policy.

Mine just went to their 2yr last month and unless they are sick, they do not have to be seen again for a year.
