I just have a quick question about my PP belly. I'm now 2 1/2 weeks PP and measured 48 weeks pregnant the day I delivered. As you can imagine, I got stretch marks and the skin on my belly just itched and was sensitive. Now that I've had the babies, it's worse than the pain from my c-section incision! I can't stand to hold the babies on my belly, or have them kick the skin on my belly as I hold them. It's not fun!

Will the painful skin go away eventually? I hope this isn't a lasting thing, like the stretch marks. TIA!

Some pain and tingling is normal as the superficial nerves grow back and heal. Also, it's ok for your uterus to be tender at the incision
site but your entire uterus should not be tender.

If you have redness, a lot of drainage, the wound edges feel hard or boggy like a water balloon, or if you start vomiting, not
able to take by mouth, you need to see your doctor urgently.
