1st year montage

What program/software did you use for your video/photo montage?

 

I could make one on my MacBook-not that I ever got around to it! :laughing: But I know most people here have done one though One True Media. They all say it's fairly easy to do too!

Animoto.com is easy and very cool output. You can purchase one long movie at a time now - you used to have to pay for a yearly membership. Just upload pics, choose music or upload your own, then click the button to mix it. It can take up to 20 mins for it to be mixed, so I don't recommend doing it the morning of the party like I did! Here is a link to ours if you want to watch a few seconds to get a feel.

I just looked it up - if you sign up for a free account as a Basic User you can then purchase a full-length video for $3.00 a piece. Also, as a basic user you can make as many 30-second free videos as you want - which is what I did first to make sure I wanted to use it. You can then buy for a little more (not sure exact cost) a hi-res burned DVD or I just played it from my computer.

I have to ask, is there a story behind peanut and potato? Mine don't really have nicknames other than one was nicknamed Sassy by the nurses and then we gave the other Sissy.

 

I know it involves getting a Mac but iMovie is the BEST- so easy- just drag and drop and edit. I've made over 25 movies so far with it (of course that was with my singleton)- still waiting to see if it will happen with the twins.

 

I use One True Media for most of my montages .. very easy to use and fun as well.

 

Just that Jude has this little odd(in a cute way)-shaped head that looks exactly like the end of a peanut shell - the 2-nut kind. And she is more olive skinned. Zoe is very fair (like me) and has a round bald white head, looks like a peeled potato - I thought of this because I love eating raw, peeled potatos. But they aren't official nicknames. Pretty much every morning once a day I come to get them up and I say, "let's see, I see one peanut and one potato" and they crack up - it is our special little secret.

 

I am more experienced film maker and I took film in high school and love it. But some great programs I use are windows movie maker or iMovie if u a mac are the more simple ones to use. And I also use a more advanced program called corel video studio 2010 and they r all easy to learn and follow. If not I recommend making one on the easy OneTrueMedia website I had Made many first year baby montages for friends including one of my great TS friends so if u would like help feel free to ask
