I had my first trip to triage on Sat. morning...hopefully the next time will be the real thing! LOL

I woke up and had a bad case of diarrhea (sorry if TMI) and was just feeling yucky. I kept having BH here and there and then a few feelings of tightening at the bottom of my belly. I figured it was best to go in just in case.

When we got there they hooked me up to the monitors and said the dr. would be in to check me. She came in and I was 3cm and 70% so I am thinking, "hey, we are having babies today!" She said they were going to leave me hooked up for an hour and come check me again. During that hour I was having contractions every three to five minutes BUT most felt just like BH, not the real crampy contractions. Anyway, dr. came back in at an hour and needless to say I was exactly the same 3 & 70....time to go home.

I think I may have been a little dehydrated and that is what caused the episode because I started thinking and I really hadn't stayed up on drinking water the night before. Also, I started drinking water right in the morning and by the time we got about 15 minutes from the hospital I was no longer having contractions and really didn't have anymore to speak of the rest of the day.

Oh well, I guess these babies needed more time. It was nice to find out things have started to progress though. The only bummer is that my husband was down here this weekend (I am staying w/parents as it is only 45 min from hospital instead of 2.5hrs) and is now back home and won't be headed back this way for two weeks or when he gets "the call." But even when he gets the call he still has a 2.5 hour drive to make.

I had my reg. appointment today and my o.b. is optimistic that I will go my own so we did not schedule and induction date as of yet. I have an u/s scheduled for Monday after my weekly NST and we will go from there. I was feeling pretty good about being 3cm and 70% effaced thinking things might be happening soon but then I went in and read some post in my due date club to find out that some of you ladies have been that way for weeks and are still needed inductions... AHHHH!

Glad everything is ok. I know it is hard to not totally want them out, especially when you are in the final countdown! Good luck mama!

    Thanks ladies!

At first I was a little dissapointed that it wasn't the real thing but later realized that they obviously stayed put for a reason. I look forward to making it as far as we can in the pregnancy and bringing home big, healthy babies.

Thanks again, I am not sure how sane I would have stayed throughout all of this without everyone here on TS!

I had the SAME EXACT THING...I even posted about it! Diarrhea, tightening, lots of BH, even some that hurt...I didn't go into LD, but I thought for sure that I woudl be going into labor that night...nope, still miserably pregnant! :( I know that it's best for them to hang out a while longer, but honestly, it's really hard...I have a 2 year old (his bday is tomorrow!!!) and I'm only 5'2", so it's just a lot on my body right now...maybe by the end of the week or beginning of next...

I made my first trip to L & D on Sat. too. They stopped my contractions with Magnesium...which was just nasty stuff.

Feel proud of yourself that you have made it this far!! I'm only 34 weeks, but optomistic that I can make it 2 or 3 more... If the contractions start up agan though I guess they will take them... I was given the steroid shots just in case. But keeping my fingers crossed I can make it alot farther!!

Good luck to you and God bless!! Won't be long!!
