1st Peri appt today...twin girls!

I had my 1st peri appt today and we're having two girls! They can't tell whether they are identical or fratenal because they don't know if the placenta is really one or two fused together. I was fine throughout the whole two hours, then when I got home I was in horrible pain! I had the worst cramps ever...I could hardly move. I think it was partly nerves and partly because they were pressing on me for two hours straight. My appt was at 8am and I'm only just now feeling better.

The good news is that they are both 9 ounces, they are both measuring 18 weeks 2 days and everything looks great! Now I have to start seeing my peri every two weeks and my OB every 4 weeks; then after 25 weeks I'll see both of them every two weeks; then at 30 weeks, I'll see them both weekly!

That's a lot of appointments but I'm glad they will be watching my so closely!

I know what you mean about the appts. With my son I was going to an OB (they only did weight and b/p which is what the peri did every appt too) and peri 9did same as OB, but checked my blood sugar numbers from the week and also did u/s at each appt) every 2 weeks from the start. This time I didn't bother getting an OB and just see a Peri who will do the delivering.

Congratulations on finding out the genders. Sounds like things are going well, keep up the great work! Sorry to hear about the cramps but glad you are feeling better!
