Just wondering if anyone had suggestions for themes for b/g twins 1st birthday party. Or, even if not a particular theme, what type of decorations/party supplies did you use to account for both your son and daughter? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! [IMG]

We went with an Elmo/Sesame Street theme since they both loved it at the time.

    Good luck and have fun!

We had a Raggedy Ann & Andy Theme. The party store had a cake decoration (the edible image kind) and there were lots of plates, etc. available. I just got plain red/blue plates and cups and got big Raggedy Ann and Andy balloons and then a bunch of red and blue balloons.

We did Baby Einstein. They had matching hats and bibs. It was cute and they were really into the videos at that time.

We did a puppy and kitty theme. DS had the puppy cake and DD had the kitty cake. I had puppy/kitty napkins, too. We had it at a local pizza place, so I didn't have to worry about cleaning my house or the clean up afterwards, either. I had it from noon to two, so they were ready for their nap right afterwards. Other than that, we didn't do much else. I figure I will spend more time, effort and money on their birthdays when they will actually remember them!

We were going to do Noah's Ark, but ended up doing Pooh's first birthday.

We did "the BIG 1" theme...the colors were pink/lime green and light blue/lime green. Everything cooridinated, and it went together very well. We just bought alot of pink, blue and lime green solid things like ballons, tablecovers, and solid napkins, to go with the decoated cups, plates, napkins, etc.

Here is the theme we used for our DD.

Here is the matching on we used for our DS.

Hope these helped! It was a really great party, and I had endless compliments about the decorations.

We also used this same theme to make invitaions, and candy bar wrappers for the party favors. I have all the info stored on my computer if you are interested in the details.

I had wanted a prince & princess type thing. At our local "paper factory store" I found a paper crown and paper tiara type hats. The other decorations did not really fit the theme but they had a neutral "1st birthday" decorations that we used...It had hand prints and colors were for either sex.
On the net it was easy to find princess birthday stuff but not prince.
Animals/jungle was something I liked too.
Next year on the invite I am going to write--"their 2-wear red, white & blue"....Their birthday is July 1st.

    Good Luck

We did Sesame Street with a Cookie Monster theme. They each had their own Cookie Monster "smash" cake and then we had a big cake with cookie on it as well.

We did a rubber ducky them for our b/g twins.

For my 1st I made the rubber ducky cake from Wilton but with the twins I ordered a cake from the grocery store and told them my theme. They did a great job. Found ducky party supplies also. I did a punch and put little duckies in the punch.

    Hope that helps.

I found a 1st theme at our local party store..pink for girls and blue for boys... and then I had the bakery make teddy bears on the cake...one with a pink bow and the other with a blue... I really would love to do raggedy ann and andy sometime...but it's so expensive to send away for the decorations...and no one around here does the cake decor for it... I don't know what I will do for their 2nd bday..and it's just around the corner...

We did Winnie the Pooh for their 1st bday and Sesame Street for their second. I think when they get into grade school and stuff we will have to do more boy/girl stuff.
