The Cookies will be one on May 3 so I am starting to plan now. We are expecting about 55-60 people...I know it's a lot but we just moved back to Michigan after being gone for about 4 years. Also my husband had 12 groomsmen and they all live around here. Anyway, there will be lots of kids ranging from 6 months to 15 years old. It's going to be a potluck (bring a dish instead of a gift) and we'll have 3 cakes (2 for the kids [small ones] and one for everyone else). I am thinking we'll go from 1:00-3:30 pm (so we can get the afternoon nap in before dinner).

Now here is where you guys come in...I need kids games/craft ideas. I would love for the little ones to make something or win something to take home. I plan to employ the older kids (apprecitation gifts for 11-15 yr old girls?) to help supervise.

    Ideas Puh-leeese!!!!

    TIA!!! :D

Are you doing a theme? You could do something spring related... For the 2/3 year olds and up-and maybe even younger with adult supervision, you could make butterflies with paint-just put some paint on one side and fold the paper in half-very easy. Hmmm... what else... I'm only thinking spring because it's in May... you could plant a flower in a flower pot. You can get the flower pots at Michael's/AC Moore for really cheap(the clay ones) and the kids could paint the outside with paint and then plant a flower. The older kids could help the younger kids with this too. Scooping dirt, etc.. That would be time consuming, so not sure this would work...

For a kid game... You could do a "Pin the Hat on the Baby!" Get a blown up picture of the twins and a birthday hat cutout and see who comes the closest... That's one game idea.

It will be great to see responses. My boys' will be 1 in October so I am thinking something fall related... Not too sure though...

We just went to one that was similar. They did find the tootsie rolls hidden all over the yard(like easter eggs).Ball tosses(different lines for different ages) Mine were too little to play I am not sure what else tehy did but the kids love the candy hunt. I will have to think about it.

Ok, spring...how about opening day/baseball theme? You could make your invites look like game tix, even print out special seating sections for kids (dug out/ 1st baseline/bleachers/3rd baseline) and parents that relate to their activity and their age. Then, you could have the seating sections have an activity such as: ages 4-6 pin the baseball on the pitcher, ages7-8 baseball buckets (just like bozo buckets), ages 1-3 crawling bases, ages 9-12 strike zone (pitching through a hole in a piece of plywood or canvas, like a target)...you could even do a "seventh inning stretch" for cake time!

    just an idea
