Hello everyone, I'm board hopping. I am starting to plan the big 1 year b-day party and was hoping to get some ideas from anyone on some B/G twin ideas. Something that is gender neutral, what did you do? Thanks for any input! :)

We did the baby sesame street theme, which we found online for cheaper than the party supply stores. Max & Lily love watching sesame street after their morning bottles, so it seemed fitting. We had invitations that had baby Big Bird, Elmo, and Cookie Monster. Plus the matching table clothes, plates, and napkins. We had a combo main cake that featured all the characters and then Max had a Cookie Monster cake and Lily had a Big Bird cake, they each had their favorite characters.

I just did pink & blue ... I made the cutest cakes (very proud of myself for my first attempt), a heart shaped pink one for my girl and round blue one for my boy. I didn't really do a theme other than that... I found really cute pink/blue "its fun to be 1" hats etc at Party City... and just went with it.

Thank you for the ideas! My twins love watching Sesame Street after their breakfast every morning too. I was also thinking of a prince and princess theme. That would work w/ the pink and blue. :)

We did a Winnie the Pooh theme, both of them loved Winnie the Pooh (and still do). We ordered all of their 1st birthday decor from Birthday Express. Good luck!

We bought a family zoo membership for the year.

For Christmas when they were 11 months, we bought a wagon, which they love.

Edit - I'm an idiot. I completely misunderstood what you were asking! We did a zoo theme party at the zoo (they have a room, and it was very cheap and didn't involve crazy relatives in my house!) So, the zoo did the decorations, and we had zoo invites from tinyprints.com and they each had their own cake. jack's had a monkey and Anna's had an elephant.

Thank you for more ideas! I like the jungle buddies theme. We are having the party at our church hall, not enough room for seating at my house. The zoo idea sounds so fun, wish we had a zoo nearby! :)

We had an early party with family last weekend and did the "Mod Monkey" theme from 1st wishes/Celebrate Express (online). I thought the stuff was pretty cute. We hope to have another party after we move (!!) and I plan to make a few monkey cupcakes (I Googled the design idea) to go along with the extra plates/napkins I ordered.

Good luck! And one thing...my babies had ZERO interest in the cake other than dropping it in handfuls over the side of their highchairs :)

I went very low key, as we christened them 3 weeks before their 1st birthday, and I did Mickey & Minnie Mouse! I bought cups, plates and balloons. MIne were also uninterested in their cake (my BFF made a carrot cake)! LOL!

we did two peas in a pod theme for the boys first b-day. I got all the stuff at birthdayexpress. http://www.birthdaye...d/results1.aspx

I got two round small cake pans and made them look like the peas and had those for the boys and a sheet cake for everyone else. It was a really cute theme.
