I'm trying to figure out what kind of food I can have at the party for adults...I don't want to have to spend time making or heating food.I want to focus on the boys.(I thought about having it catered but the party is only a couple of hours and I don't want to spend a ton of money) . Any suggestions? I have a huge Nesco that has seperators to keep different foods warm.

We got a sandwich tray from Costco for the adults, what about chicken salad and you could have some croissants to go with it, meatballs.

Something from the crockpot (see the cooking forum)!!! I made some meatballs the other day that I will post about in there that are RIDICULOUSLY EASY and SUPER YUMMY!!!

Also, see the pork tacos for the crockpot in cooking. :D I'm not posting them there because I am trying to gently force you into looking in there!! I'll even give you a link!!

We got a tray of chicken nuggets and fruit from Chick-Fil-A. We also had ham delights (little ham and cheese sandwiches), cheese ball, pickle sandwiches, cheerio/chex mix, chips/dip. The crockpot can be good for a warm dip of some kind or meatballs would be good too. Are you feeding "lunch" or just snacks? We had our party at 2pm and just had snacks. I didn't have to make a meal, and could just put a lot of snacks out for people to pick at. Worked well.

We just had a BBQ (but it was warmer weather) with the pre-made patties from Costco. We did make a HUGE potato salad ourselves.....looking back now, we should've done that the day before.....but everything else was super easy. Hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, beans, etc.

We ordered a tray of sandwiches and then bought all the other stuff at Costco and the grocery store. I think we had chips, potato salad, Doritos, a veggie tray.

    I made cupcakes.

We got the premade hamburger patties from Costco and had Hamburgers with homemade salads and chips, dip, veggie tray etc. All was done the day before (except the BBqing of the burgers but DH did that) It was great!

We did chicken wings, meatballs, and finger sandwhiches. Also we had a lot of people offer to bring stuff so I had them bring cold salads (potato, pasta, etc). It worked out great was super easy and not a lot of clean up.

We just had the girls' birthday party last week and I made Beef BBQ in the crockpot. It turned out so good! I did all of my prep the day before so the morning of the party I just had to put the shredded beef and BBQ sauce in the crockpot and turn it on. We also had pasta salad, veggies and dip, and chips. Everyone loved it and I was able so spend my time mingling with my guests instead of cooking food for everyone. I got the recipe off some website - I would be happy to post if you would like.

We ordered trays from the grocery store. Ham & cheese platters, chicken fingers, fruit salad. Then bought chips & nuts & made dip. There is so much planning to do & so much going on that day that worring about the food is NOT something you want to be concerned with. Enjoy the day. Let someone else "cook".
