Whew! What a day! We went today to get the boys 18month pics today. I have taken them on each of their milestone days, like 3 months, 6 months etc. Today I thought we would try out Picture People. I had popped in there before and they said they dont take appts. Well, what a lie! So, we went to Sears as we were in the mall. What another fiasco. DH sure got an idea just how "fun" it is going alone somewhere with the boys. I hated the whole experience. They had NOTHING set up for 18month old children. She tells them "Ok, stand here-stand still". WTH???? Like they were going to understand, let alone LISTEN! So, by the time we left, 45min and only 3 pics later, I am EXHAUSTED! THe pics are cute. But, I will NOT EVER go there again. Our 18 mo Pedi appt is next week. I think Alec is around 31lbs and Adam around 28-29. THey are getting soooo heavy to carry! I should have the buffest arms around-NOT! THey really play so awesome together-which I am most greatful for! They know about 20 words+ and learn signs in seconds. I am just amazed. I showed them "more" one time, now they sign "more", "head", "thank you". I need to get the video because all I knew was "more" and "head"! They are still in size 4 diapers, but I think ALec really should be in 5's. I just hate to have 2 different sizes. A 5 would SWIM on skinny-bum Adam. ALec has alot of "junk in his trunk"! I started letting them watch TV around 16.5 months. I needed it! I wish I could have held out til 2, but its sometimes the only way I can safely/peacefully get a shower. I just leave them after breakfast in their boosters and they watch. They like Little Einstiens, Higgley Town Heros and Teletubbies. We also have a DVD player in my new Yukon which they like as well. I however,am SICK of "Berenstien Bears"...I about have the video memorized... They say "thank you-tet too" for everything. It is so cute! They use it for "please" and "I want that". All in all, they are really great boys. I love them to pieces, but wow its a tough age. I really am exhausted most of the time, but wouldnt trade it for the world.

Wow Yvonne - sounds like a great apt. at the pedi!!! I can't believe how big they are getting!!! They must be eating steak and potatoes Hehe! Sounds like they are doing awesome! My girls say thank you for everything too...it is cute! Sorry the pics didn't go as well as you had planned, but we didn't have a fun session at Christmas (for xmas and 18-month pics) as we would've liked either. Something about the age maybe...who knows. Anyway, I'm glad they are doing so well!!!! TFS@!
hey yvonne! i have been too chicken to take mine for pictures - we've never been. we have great pics from home (my dad is a great photographer) but none professional. anyway - i can't believe how big they are! can't wait to hear about the pedi appt next week.
Congrats on hitting 18 months. We just hit it as well on yesterday. We got pictures done at Picture People at 12 months. For Christmas, we did our own. I believe I will let the professionals fight with them instead of me. Anyhow, we are in two separate size diapers and have been for a while. It's strange but it's the only way. Carmen wears a 4 and Whit a 6. We get them at Sam's and I am now praying that he stays in a 6 for a while. Anyhow, congrats and the boys are gorgeous/handsome.
