18 weeks today!

I had my regular ob appt yesterday. Everything looks great. I didn't see my regular ob because she's on vacation so one of the other ob's in the practice met with me. She didn't do an u/s, which would have normally bummed me out, but it was ok because I had just had one the day before at MFM. She listened to their heartbeats but couldn't tell if she actually was hearing them both. I'm measuring 24 weeks and have only gained 5 pounds to date (I started off a bit overweight so I had reserves... We talked a bit about the c section I'll be having (they don't do VBAC's where I'm delivering) and she couldn't tell me too much other than I would probably only get a "planned" c section if I made it to 39 weeks, otherwise, they wait for me to go into labor. She did tell me that I'd have to talk to my regular ob to make that determination, so we'll see, I've got plenty of time (hopefully)
I'm in full on maternity clothes today. I really am going to need to do some shopping. My sister gave me a lot of hand me downs, but there isn't a whole lot of summer clothes and the capris I've been squeezing myself into aren't really working anymore. Maybe this weekend I'll hit up Old Navy or something.
Last night I felt the biggest movement to date. I was in bed and I rolled over to one side and it felt like one of the babies did a somersault and in the middle of doing this somersault stretched out his body completely. It didn't hurt, but really surprised me because I've only been feeling pokes and flutters. I am in the "honeymoon" phase of pregnancy, for sure!

 

Congrats! Sounds like things are going well. I hit 18wks today myself though with one baby.

I found summer maternity stuff at JCPenney's website on sale. If you search the net you can usually find a discount on shipping too. What I love about their stuff is that it runs a pinch big so you have a little more room to grow in them.

 

Sounds like a good appt. My OB always did an u/s to determine the h/bs, because like you said, they were never sure if they could get both just doing the doppler.

Congratulations! I am 18 weeks too, and it sounds like we are in about the same place! I have gained about 5 pounds too, and had a c-section for my first... I am jalous though because I think that you posted a couple of days ago about the gender of your babies... I still don't know! I don't get to find out until July 9th!!! Anyway, Congratulations on a smooth start!

 

congrats on a good appt. I am 18 weeks too. I am measuring 27 weeks though! and I have gained about 10 ounds but whatever. As long as babies are healthy. We get to see ours again on July 6....counting down!
