Not sure if I should post here or in the second year, so Mod please move if you think it belong there…

Ok, my dudes don’t watch much tv… occasionally when we are sick I put on noggin (now nick jr) to stop the whining… so what do you suggest I buy for our 13 hr road trip. I am on Amazon now buys a yo gabba gabba and I also got 2 backyardagins… but what would they love? I just looked under the birth -2 years of age and saw Jay Jay the jet plane (I remember my oldest loved that) but I thought you ladies are more in the “now” and would tell me what are the DVD’s you MUST have for a road trip…

    :thanks:

mine are mesmerized by yo gabba gabba more than anything. they love wonder pets and backyardigans but they go off and do other things until the main theme song comes on, but with yo gabba gabba, they are sitting still the whole time... lol.

The twins are fans of the old Blue's Clues with Steve. *sigh, me too!*
And of course if Diego or Dora happen to be on, they'll sit down and watch them too.

Little Bear is a big hit here. My girls don't watch much TV either, but I found Little Bear to be easy enough to understand and no scary parts. I may be silly, but Toy Story, Monsters, and Finding Nemo seem too scary for little kids to me.

My twins are 20 months and they LOVE Elmo in the sesame street movies.

Mine love Elmo. I had a much shorter road trip over the weekend and picked up two new Elmo dvd's. My one guy did not make a peep the entire trip.

For your own sanity, try to get dvd's that are at least an hour long so you're not having to reload them constantly. The one's I purchased were just shy of an hour and I only have to pull over once to put in another dvd.

My kids don't watch much either, but they become totally transfixed by Baby Einstein's World Animals. Plus - bonus for you, the music is downright pleasant. There's also a Neighborhood Animals, and Baby Neptune with animals in the water. Happy travels!

Anything with Elmo or Sesame Street is a hit around here. They are finally outgrowing Baby Einstein.

I am going to echo this as well. We have two Sesame Street DVD's that my kids could watch over and over again.

Laurie Berkner! My boys LOVE her! She has a DVD called "The Laurie Berkner Band." It's great. Even DH and I like her(but I liked her when I taught preschool. Her songs are really catchy, and they almost all have gross motor activities to go with it. Very neat.

Also-Jack's Big Music Show. My boys love that as well. There's one DVD out I believe-it has four episodes. It's on Noggin, but they discontinued the show.
