Our appointment with the Peri was great yesterday. Thanks to everyone for the great suggestions on what to expect/ask. The DR was very nice and informative as well as the staff. He did an ultrasound right off the bat and the babies look great. He did a 4D ultrasound as well and that was VERY cool. We weren't able to get very good pictures as the babies weren't cooperating for that BUT they did cooperate for some good shots of their private parts!!! We definitely have a boy!!! The other baby definitely did not have a penis so the Doc said he's pretty sure that one is a girl. He said we can go out and buy all the blue we want but not to buy a room full of pink until he confirms at the 18 week ultrasound. The nurse told us he normally doesn't say anything at all unless he's pretty sure so I'm super excited to have one of each. I'm very excited!! :) Anyway - my next ultrasound is in 3 weeks and that will be the 18 week detailed ultrasound. He's also going to start checking my cervical length at that point and since I am high risk for pre-term labor (previous PTL and bedrest with my son and I had cryo on my cervix in '03) I have to start weekly progesterone shots at that point. I told him after daily progesterone shots for 10 weeks this once a week stuff will be a breeze. ;) He said it is different than the progesterone I took with the IVF. Does anyone know what that is different about it?? Anyway - just wanted to share the news. :D

Oh - the link to the 3D ultrasound picture if you want to try to make it out is:

Congrats on a boy and maybe a girl! :yahoo: My next door neighbor had to take progesterone shots last year when she was pregnant with #3, I'm not sure how they are different from the IVF ones though.

Yeah congrats on finding out your having a boy!!! I just wanted to point out that at my 16w u/s the tech thought she seen a girl so i thought i was having boy/girl. Than they did amino and it said 2 boys which has me in the situation i am in now. At my last appointment they thought they seen a scrotum on the baby so I still stand unsure as to if it is a boy or if i have a baby with anbiguous genitilia.. I am not trying to be a bummer, kind of just a word of caution. Just like doc says maybe hold out on buying things till you you get a true confirmation in case something comes up or more is seen later. At the 16 week u/s the baby was measuring 2-3 weeks behind so in my eyes it was small and too early for us to truly see the goods .. Please KUP on the outcome. I hope it all turns out just like you want it!!!!
