14 week Dr.'s apt

Hi everyone! I went to my Doctor today. I am 14 weeks and 2 days along. I am measuring 18 weeks if it was a singleton. They listened to the heartbeats and one was 147 and the other was 173. The nurse said because of that she thinks we are having a girl and a boy. The babies kept kicking the thing the nurse was moving around trying to find the heartbeats. She was so tickled because she would start counting the beats and the baby would move and she would have to start over. We really hope she is right. Although we will be happy no matter what they are. Just hope for healthy babies. I go back in 4 weeks and they are going to do my next ultrasound. I hope they can tell the sexes at that time.

Congrats! Our twins (girl/boy) were July babies also. They will be 3. My (baby A) Kenzie was very active and (baby B) Matthew was a sleeper. Dont count on what the sex is much before the 24 week mark, usless the tech is really good. Are they going to do a 4D utlrasound for you? If the heart beat is correct it sounds like you are having a boy/a girl. Do you have names yet?

 

My doctor offers a 3-D ultrasound, but when I asked about it she said to ask the lady doing my ultraound at 18 weeks about the fluid around the babies because that determines when they do the 3-D. Yes, we are going to name a boy after my husband C. Vincent Jr. and a girl we picked Caitlyn but we haven't picked a middle name. If it is two girls we also like Cheyenne Nicolette.

 

I was told around 14 weeks that they tought it was B/G but found out at 19 weeks that it's G/G - you never know!

 

The heartbeats are definitely not any indication at this point. That's more after they are born, I think. I had 2 hb of 171 and 168...twin boys.
