    Hi all-

My B/G twins were born 7 weeks early and are 12 weeks old today. (5 weeks adjusted)

I BF them with a nursing/formula combo before bedtime. They have been waking every 3-4 hours throughout the night to nurse. But last night, my son slept through the night! He slept from 7:30 pm to 4:30 am. I was happy about this, until I started worrying that it may be too early for them to STTN.

What do you guys think? Should I have let him sleep through, or wake him up to eat?

    Thanks

my first dd started sleeping 12 hours at 6 weeks. not sure if it would matter since they were premature? how much do they weigh? i think i remember that if the baby is under 6lbs, you have to wake them up regularly to feed tehm, otherwise, just let them wake you up at night.

My daughter slept through the night around 4 months old and I was so excited, but it didn't last. It did for a couple of weeks, now I have them waking up at least once a night because of their teeth bothering them. Good Luck!!

Thanks for the replies. They're both over 10 lbs, so I will feel comfortable letting them sleep through.

I freaked out the first time ours did the same around that same age. They both decided to do it on the same night - 7 hours straight without a peep from either one. I woke up in a panic because it was light outside and I didn't see any bottles by my husband - WHAT - they didn't eat - he didn't get up either???? I was more freaked out by it than happy. Turns out it didn't last [IMG].

Probably should have woken them up. But it probably wont happen again for a while so I hope you enjoyed the sleep!

I think it's GREAT! My first dd STTN for 10+ hours at 6 weeks, and my twins both did for 12 hours the night they turned 10 weeks and have ever since. (I had to wake them after sleeping 12 hours solid to feed them that first morning after!) In my experience, once they've done it, they continue to do so. Hope you experience the same!! [IMG]
