I'm about to go fetch the boys who are beginning to stir from their nap and I stopped at the bathroom to see how high my fever is. 102.2. DH is out of town so I get full duty from wakeup to bed while sick. My mother came over most of the day yesterday and I know she's too worn out to do it again. I have no point here except to whine and say that chasing almost-3s all day while sick is a miserable experience and I don't recommend it. Now I'd better get those guys before they pee on something.

ETA: I can't recall for the life of me whether I took Motrin before their nap or not so I can't take anything until that wears off... in case there is anything to wear off.

Oh I hope you feel better soon. WE are just getting over a nasty bug here with stomach craps and the runs for days.

I think those ages are to old for those things. I would say 3 would be the oldest for a pacifier and 1 1/2 for a bottle but I know everyone is different. Even with my son being 2 he still has his pacifier he is not aloud to leave the house with it. I think after 1 1/2 a pacifier isn't really needed except for the comforting while sleeping so there is no need for a child to be walking around with it. I really don't see a need for a child who's 6 to be needing a pacifier while out unless they were sleeping.

You poor thing. I hope they go to bed early for you tonight so you can get some rest. I hope you feel better soon.

I am so sorry. :grouphug: I have been there (as most of us have I am sure) and it is not fun. I hope they go to bed early and that you can go to bed as soon as they go.

Can adults alternate tylenol/motrin like for children with fevers?

I am the only adult in the house and completely feel your pain about continuing to have all the duties while being sick. I hope the rest of the day passes quickly and it is bedtime before you know it!

I hope you feel better soon. The boys just got over nasty fevers and still have the cold part. Take care.

Hope you feel better soon. Maybe a good day to have a Disney film festival and easy-mac!

 UGGHHH, Debi, that's awful! I'm going to call HR right now and tell them they goofed up - wasn't your contract supposed to say "unlimited days off for illness with full pay"?

I hope you feel better really soon!

(Oh, and unless you have a very sensitive stomach, I'd go ahead and take more ibuprofen than the bottle says you're allowed to. Gotta do what you gotta do!)

I did the alternating meds as suggested here (thanks!) and managed to keep my temp around 100 that way... and then my fever broke as I was getting them dressed for bed. Literally, I was dripping sweat on them. I went to bed when they did and was pleasantly surprised that our dog (who generally is fidgety and restless when DH is out of town) actually slept. I feel OK today but just really, really tired. The boys are playing Playdoh and we'll move to videos soon.
