10 or so more weeks!

Man time really seems to fly doesn't it? I am at my 28th week and I am feeling that jittery feeling of excitedment and hastening that happens just before labor happens. We aren't even in our house yet and that bathroom door is becoming the most used obstocle in this horrendous trailer. I am moving around fine and the only aches that I have been having lately is the pelvic pains at night and when I walk too much. My girls are getting bigger and bigger and my husband is noticing every day and saying man you really are growing. I ignore any obscene comments and go on about my day, but the time is speeding along and I want to be in my house!!!

We found out that we have to wait until the cabinets are installed in our house before we can assume any moving arrangements are safe to do. No cabinets---No appliances can be plugged in. So May 14th is going to be a good but long waiting day! That is delivery day for our cabinets. Drywall is almost completed, then we have to paint and put in our floors, the bathrooms need tub and toilets installed along with the mirrors and vanities, and once that is done we have to save a little money for doors on 7 doorways (we ran out of money--lol). The closets can stay open for now and we will get doors for those later. Then we can move in.

As of yet I have had no news on any kind of baby shower and I don't expect one since my husband and I have been told by several people not to buy anything. The hardest thing that we are trying to find is purple outfits! All I can find is Pink! My husband and I want to color code our girls to keep from mixing them up. I know that we won't have much trouble telling them apart, but we are hoping to cut confusion this way. If all else fails we will just dress them differently and use fingernail polish or barretts in their hair. If any of you have an idea of where we can find Purple clothes please let me know! Wal-mart only carries pink and yellow for girls. Not much in the way of purple at all.

As for the purple clothes, have you tried Target? I bought some cute outfits for my goddaughter about a year ago and they had all colors for girls (and it was around this time that I bought them because I remember it being all spring clothing).

 

I completely feel your stress of not being in your house yet. We are in the same stages as you. Our cabinets are due to be in the week of May 21st. Our bed rooms and the bath rooms are complete,but we have to finish the den and kitchen. We have our appliances, but like you said we cannot hook them up until the cabinets are in. My dh is in construction and he is so busy helping rebuild New Orleans he doesn't have the time or energy to work on our house.


The thing about purple clothes, I got a couple of purple outfits from Ross and JCPenny.

 

Congrats on 28 weeks. I hear you on the aches and pains and I'm only 20 weeks. As for purple clothes, have you checked ebay? I get alot of baby clothes off there, and at pretty good prices too.

 

Meshell, I went to target today and they have some purple outfits. They are really cute too!

 

hopefully you will get into your house soon! I feel your pain, we are trying to convert our garage so we can get my 21.5 month old son moved into his new room so we can FINALLY start on the girls room... & I am gonna be 32 weeks tomorrow

As for purple... I to have had a hard time. I have found the best place to get cordinating pink & purple outfits is Carter's!!!! If you don't have an outlet new you they sell them at toys'r'us, babies'r'us & most department stores. I got the girls TONS of cordinating outfits from them... most were onsale for 50% off. But seriously it was they only place I could find purple! I have had decent luck in the past with target... & from time to time walmart has some pink & purple stuff!
