My dd is not very mobile at all. She moves around in circles on her belly but that's about all the movement she does on
her own (she does sit well, reach for things, etc)

the dr was a little concern, but contrbutes her weight to it too (she is 24 lbs),
She was evaluated by early step when she was 6 months and they said the same thing...however
after watching other chubby babies her age (even adjusted) they all move regardless of the extra sweet rolls.

should I have her re evalutated again? she does turn on her side...but has difficulty doing that...
she does take steps with me an loves that, but I just don't know what else to do for her to move more...

meanwhile ds is all over the place crawling everwhere and standing up in all furniture, etc... I feel so
bad for her not moving more

Hannah never rolled over. Finally at 10 months we had her evaluated and she qualified for PT. However, by the time we went through the process and got our first appt, she started crawling out of the blue at 11 months and we never did the therapy. In fact, she would even go from laying on her back, straight up into a sitting position. But heck no, couldn't roll over. (She was also around the same weight.)

Definitely not the norm, and another eval would probably help, but just wanted to let you know that we were in the same exact situation, and she turned out perfectly normal!

I would think another evaluation couldn't hurt. That way, if she qualifies she can start getting some therapy. But like Kate said, some babies just do things differently than others.

My boys get pt. I don't think another eval could hurt.

I agree, I don't think it would hurt to get another evaluation.

I'd definitely go for the second evaluation. They may have missed something the first time, and then again maybe not, but it better to get a second opinion.

I agree with getting another evaluation. I called for Abby because she wasn't really rolling, but could sit up really well at 11 months. That's about all she did. By the time they were to come out to evaluate she started crawling and has since started standing up and letting go and cruising along the furniture. It does happen so fast. You might as well call. It doesn't hurt to see what they say. It's so hard not to worry.

I too, would get another evaluation just to be on the safe side. If anything, they can give you some pointers for some things that you can do at home to help and encourage her.
