1 year montage

having a small party for my LOs at a restaurant and plan on playing a montage.
how long should it be? its very tough cutting it down - its 30 mins right now! :spiteful:

 

Unless I was the babies' parent or grandparent, I probably wouldn't want to watch anything longer than 5 minutes (unless you plan to just have it playing in the background during dinner or something).

 

aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents?
there is no way i can make it 5 mins - hahahaha! :gah:

 

My older dd's was 7 mins and I had to cut out a lot to get it that short. I still haven't finished the one for the babies but I anticipate 10 mins max. I also wouldn't want to sit for that long and watch one if I could help it.

 

I would say 10- 15 minutes maximum. I was at a wedding last summer and theirs went on, and on.... and on......

 

7 minutes max.

 

My husband had made a movie for our oldest son's first 6 years for each birthday. It's usually 5-7 minutes and you can tell by the end, most everyone's "done" watching.

Definitely cut it. I just went to a 60th birthday party which had a 15 minute montage and I wanted to gouge my eyes out by the end. People kept clapping whenever a song would end, and then another one would start and you could see the room sort of groan
