Tomorrow I have an appointment with my OB and my glucose test. They didn't tell me to fast or anything but what is a good breakfast to eat tomorrow morning so I do better???

At our Peri appointment Thursday we had an NST and they said it came back 'responsive or reactive' and that I have to start having them weekly from now on. When did you start the weekly NST's?

I had my 1 hour glucose at 11:00 and for breakfast that morning (around 8:30) I had two mini sausage biscuit sandwiches. I passed so I guess it worked. I've heard that you should just make sure to eat some sort of protein for breakfast the day of, no sweets like doughnuts (mmm doughnuts sound so good right now!). As far as the NST goes, I'm quite sure "responsive" means good job, babies. When mine was over I was waiting on an actual grade (probably because I'm a teacher) like an A,B or percentile score. All I got was responsive but she assured me that this is the 'grade' you want, so congratulations. I think it basically means that the babies' heart rates fluctuate at a noral rate as a result of movement, uterine activity, etc. Someone correct e if I'm wrong please!

I just had my first NST today and didn't get any kind of "grade," no responsive or reactive... just that everything looked good. But sometimes at my Dr's office I have to ask for specifics so maybe that's why I got a generic "all good." I will be having them twice a week from here on out.

The plan was for me to start getting weekly NSTs at 28 weeks (I had one). But I ended up being put on hospital bedrest. While there in the hospital, I had them twice a day. When I was discharged at 32 weeks, I had them twice weekly until I delivered.

I am sorry that I cannot help you with those other questions...it has been too long for me to remember! ;)

For my glucose test, which by the way I am going in for tomorrow too, I have always had a bit of toast about an hour before my appt... absolutely no JUICE!!! They don't tell you this, but anything sugary or high carb can make you fail....protein probably isn't a bad idea...The idea is to eat as light as you can without passing out!!! LOL... seriously... I always bring a snack with me for after the test...b/c I feel very, very shaky...to the point where I'm not sure I could drive.... I have never failed a glucose test....(My id. twin has though.... she drank OJ for bfast that morning!!!! I told her not to!!!)
